Sooooo, you like to play Castlevania...Edit

And I heard you wanted an avatar edit. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 18:21, October 17, 2014 (UTC)

That's true. Think you're up for it? Normally, I'd ask GI, but he's gone dark, as I'm sure you know. It shouldn't be too challenging, since my avatars aren't too extraordinary. --Crimson Knight Comms 19:47, October 17, 2014 (UTC)
Gimme. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 20:04, October 17, 2014 (UTC)
Very well. I was thinking of Bane's face (I can provide a good image for that if needed) on this render (if you think old Altaïr is a bad choice and can think of something better, let me know; I'd hate for people to judge me), and recolour the white parts black (pretty dark; darker than my current avatar), the grey parts dark red, and the red parts gold. Maybe make his boots black too. I've set up a 'key' so you know what I'm on about here. If you could sent me the render of that, I can slap it onto a background I have.
By the way, happy birthday. Sorry, it slipped my mind until now. --Crimson Knight Comms 20:06, October 17, 2014 (UTC)
I can slap this together by the end of the weekend. And thanks. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 21:10, October 17, 2014 (UTC)
Here it is. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 14:35, October 21, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcomeEdit

Hey there, Crimson! Thanks for that welcome, it's nice to see that this Wiki has a very welcoming community, always a great first impression. I hope to do what I can to help out, and hope to see you around!

Cosmicsilver (talk) 01:49, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

Don't mention it. Glad to hear that you plan on helping, and I'm certain you'll see me around. --Crimson Knight Comms 12:45, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

hey.....could you help me by telling how to upload a picture or a video on an article.....i read the image policy but didn't quite understand it.....

but still i tried to upload a picture in the basis of the things i did understand and every time it gave an error.....could you please help me....Jayam (talk) 18:08, November 3, 2014 (UTC)

Sure, no problem. It's actually pretty straightforward once you strip it down to its nuts and bolts, but don't worry, I was a bit worried about it too when I first started. Basically, when you upload an image, all you have to do is state a source (where you got the image), its author, and a general description of it. Licensing is also helpful. There should be a template that pops up automatically when you try to upload an image, so all you'd need to do is fill in a few sections.
I'm not quite sure what kind of error you're getting though... If you could try again and see if it works, and describe the error to me if you get it again, I'll se what I can to do help. --Crimson Knight Comms 19:20, November 3, 2014 (UTC)

by source: do you mean the website from where i got it or where it was shown in the series???

and by description do you mean what is shown in the picture????

and what happens if i dont know the author??Jayam (talk) 05:28, November 4, 2014 (UTC)

It depends what kind of image it is. If it's a screenshot, say which game it game from, but if it's from a website, paste the URL for the image. You've got the description down. If you don't know the author, you can put "Unknown", but it's more than likely just "Ubisoft". --Crimson Knight Comms 16:26, November 4, 2014 (UTC)

Untitled 2Edit

please tell me

assassin's creed rising phoenix

is the next game in the series

i see it in black flag

it is related to project phoenix Balasekar.v (talk) 14:30, November 12, 2014 (UTC)

No, "Rising Pheonix" is not the next game. If I remember correctly, it was placed in AC4 as joke. --Crimson Knight Comms 17:28, November 12, 2014 (UTC)

Hi There!Edit

I'm pretty new to this wiki, ten days now and I like it a lot. I've been at the Ubi Forums for several months so I figured I'd come here. I just loved how I use to search small parts of the AC universe like the Mayan Machete and read a whole page about it. These articles allowed me to get attached to the AC world. This has happened throughout the years so I wanted to return the favor by helping this wiki.

I've been trying to improve the little things, avoding non spoilery story stuff and charcaters from which I don't even know how the editor got the information. I've done this with the DLC packs and weapons that had few words. As I am new to wikis I don't fully know the etiquette. I want to add onto these articles for others but I guess it breaks the uniformity? If you could tell me what is, and isn't right to add, please tell me.

Also, the picture thing is pretty tricky. I know this from experience because of the Alex Amancio article I wrote on Wikipedia with the help of my forum friend. Copyrights and stuff. Do you just have to say where you got the image?

Sorry for any inconviences I may have caused. I'm just trying to help as best I can. GoldenBoy99 (talk) 14:56, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for signing up, and I hope you find something that holds your interest here. We'll need all the help we can get.
You seem to have gotten the gist now (sorry for not replying earlier; I was otherwise engaged and forgot I got a message), so I'll spare you from my inane ramblings. If you need any help though, feel free to ask. --Crimson Knight Comms 22:32, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

Air Rifle? Edit

I thought since the weapon was made in the 18th century that tag would be approprite?Balin21 (talk) 21:49, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

It would be, but I created those categories with the intent of making it easy to split up different weapons. If we added weapons like the Hidden Blade and Firearms to those categories, they would become over-crowded, which is why I restructured the categories in the first place.
There's nothing terribly wrong with what you did, mind you. I certainly understand your logic. But, like I said, that category is for specific weapons that you purchase, or are given for doing certain things. Take a look at what's in the category to see what I mean. --Crimson Knight Comms 21:52, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

Outfits Edit

So does the Wiki plan to create a page for all outfits in ACU or individual pages for each outfit item? -- awyman13 Talk Work 21:59, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

I would imagine it will be one page for all ACU outfits. That's what we usually do. I have no part in that process though. --Crimson Knight Comms 22:01, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

Connor's Wife and SeperationEdit

Hey! Just a quick drop by, I noticed that you updated Connor's page with "Connor married an unknown blonde woman later in life, though they later separated and Connor lived out the remainder of his life by himself." It seems you were quick to add this part and not read the rest of my post. I stated that the seperation is part of Abstergo manipulation and does not count as true info. If anything it can be added to the Legacy section of Connor's page, along side Abstergo's take on Connor. The videos detailing other Assassin memories as well as details on the Assassins in the game itself proves this. Like for instince, there is a section in the book on how Shao Jun is part of a criminal organization, and the "brave" Emporer and his army will not rest until she and her band is stopped. However its already proven that the Emporer is a cruel tyrannt and Shao is the one who is doing the liberation.

This blog right here has a screenshot of the page, and more on other Assassins, such as Shao Jun and Nikiolai. It is a little hard to read, but its able to help prove my case: 03:14, November 22, 2014 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but you're mistaken. I didn't add that particular piece of information. All I did was remove the mention of Connor's wife being blonde, because I don't think that's important. It was added back an hour later though, so go figure. I'd recommend posting this on Connor's talk-page, or finding the person who actually added the information. --Crimson Knight Comms 14:19, November 22, 2014 (UTC)

Going about editing the Multiplayer ArticleEdit

Hi, I noticed that the Multiplayer article was missing the AC4 information so I decided I would try to undertake that. It looks doable but I have one question. On the characters part, once you click that link, you'll see an array of animi avatars. These look like faceshots of that avatar from his or her page. I was wondering if I could upload all of my cropped pictures of the avatars to the gallery without them being flagged for not being in an article before I put them there, and if/how I would source them since they're on the wiki.

Thanks. I'd really like to help this article. GoldenBoy99 (talk) 23:30, November 25, 2014 (UTC)

I'm not really the person to ask about multiplayer. Crookandcharlatan or Slate Vesper, both fellow staff members, would probably be better bets. However, as far as using cropped pictures of our own images goes, I think that should be fine. Don't worry, they won't be flagged immediately; you'll have plenty of time to do what you will with them. As for sourcing, just saying "Assassin's Creed wiki" should be fine. --Crimson Knight Comms 23:36, November 25, 2014 (UTC)

Edit summary Edit

Do you mind being a little more kind? I understand you can get a little frustrated, but respect goes both ways. -- Master Sima Yi Clogs 22:48, December 6, 2014 (UTC)

I'll bear that in mind. In retrospect, I should have been faster in the first place, then I wouldn't have been so annoyed by the end. But still, five edit-conflicts? Jesus, I hope that doesn't happen to me again. --Crimson Knight Comms 23:01, December 6, 2014 (UTC)

Hey, man. I'm sorry about the "Template" thing. I just used the "add other templates" option under the Templates section in the editing screen and entered the template name (I'm not a source mode type of guy). The part I don't understand is: why does it matter if it has the name "template" in it? From what I see when I look at the published page, it works perfectly. All of the links are fine and it is like every other page. If you don't feel like answering that, you don't have to; I will be courteous and do what you want. I am young too, and I treat people with respect like you say you do. Please try to treat me with a little respect; I have been making so many new ACU articles in my free time recently and contributing to this wiki almost every day for a week. Thank you. Saving Private Ryan (talk) 22:52, December 6, 2014 (UTC)

It's mostly just for simplicity's sake, SPR (sorry, your name is really long ^^;). The Template doesn't "need" to be there as the template itself works perfectly without it. And we do appreciate you making these articles. Even if we usually find a thing or two to fix, it'd probably take much longer to eventuallly get all these articles on the wiki if you, and other users, weren't making them. Crook The Constantine District 22:57, December 6, 2014 (UTC)
Ah, don't worry about it. I overreacted, sorry about that. It was more the conflicts that annoyed me. The "Template:" is just a bit redundant, and removing it helps to keep the amount of code in a page down. It works either way, but we prefer to omit it. And thanks for creating Unity pages; I can't, so it's good that other people are. --Crimson Knight Comms 23:01, December 6, 2014 (UTC)
Sorry about the edit conflicts, Crims <3 Crook The Constantine District 23:02, December 6, 2014 (UTC)

Hey budEdit

Heya Cream, Mind stopping by the IRC tomorrow, I just wanna catch up on whats new around here. Cya! --Fragment -Animus- 03:46, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

I haven't been on the IRC properly since late November, so I'm not really the person to ask. Sorry. :/
I might be able to come by anyway, but we'll see. I've been quite busy lately. --Crimson Knight Comms 16:21, February 11, 2015 (UTC)
No big deal, hope life finds you well man... --Fragment -Animus- 02:39, February 12, 2015 (UTC)
Whoops, I forgot to reply to this. If you really want me to pop up, I could clear time in my schedule. Plus, I don't want my nick to expire. That'd be a pain. --Crimson Knight Comms 00:29, February 16, 2015 (UTC)

Thomas' second Hidden Blade edit Edit

I saw the removal of my edit a moment ago. So was the edit to de Carneillon not worthy to trivia or something? He did use a second hidden blade to kill the guy after all, if look here at his video at 8:58:  Mr.DarkBlade (talk) 00:17, February 16, 2015 (UTC)

Since no blade mechanism is physically visible on his wrist, I'd chalk this up to a production oversight, and say he was supposed to use the left hand instead. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 00:24, February 16, 2015 (UTC)
"So was the edit to de Carneillon not worthy to trivia or something?"
Yeah, that was my whole thought process. You got me. My point stands, I didn't see a second blade. It must be an oversight, like Haytham having no Hidden Blades while dressed as a redcoat, and Ezio having no Hidden Blades while disguised as guard captains. --Crimson Knight Comms 00:27, February 16, 2015 (UTC)
Not really a production oversight. Remember, Connor has a Second Hidden Blade too, however it was not visable until he utilized it. It can be said the same for de Carneillon as well, like Connor's left white bracer, de Carneillon's second is tucked away within the leather bracer. I see it rather he chosen not to use the second Blade until that moment. It can be said that its no longer there later on for gameplay purposes though. Mr.DarkBlade (talk) 00:32, February 16, 2015 (UTC)
Connor's second blade was visible, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. If you must, you could mention in the trivia that Thomas uses a second Hidden Blade to kill the advisor, despite not having one visible on his wrist. --Crimson Knight Comms 00:37, February 16, 2015 (UTC)
Not the Leather Bracer, if that is what you're thinking, I mean this one:
When the player uses both Hidden Blades, it pops up from his wrist like so:
Its not impossible for Carneillon to do the same.Mr.DarkBlade (talk) 03:39, February 16, 2015 (UTC)
Perhaps. But given how no other French Assassin in the game uses double blades, and the fact Ubi specifically removed the second one even from the player's arsenal, there's nothing except what seems like development oversight or an animation from earlier build of the game, which remained during that cutscene, to suggest he had two blades. So this is pretty much speculation at this point. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 04:14, February 16, 2015 (UTC)

And nowEdit

For a racist question for you - can you play a bagpipe? Genuinely curious here. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 16:19, March 1, 2015 (UTC)

Isn't that more stereotypical than racist? Crook The Constantine District 16:21, March 1, 2015 (UTC)
I can be a stereotypical racist if I want to. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 16:27, March 1, 2015 (UTC)
Ironically, no, I can't. The sound of bagpipes often hurts my ears, so I'm rather glad I can't. --Crimson Knight Comms 18:44, March 1, 2015 (UTC)
Do you have a kilt? That's a Scottish thing to have, right? :p Crook The Constantine District 18:45, March 1, 2015 (UTC)
Excuse me, have you read my in-FAQs? I covered that there. I've worn a kilt to a wedding once, but I'm the kind of guy who likes to wear trousers. --Crimson Knight Comms 19:44, March 1, 2015 (UTC)

Batman v SupermanEdit

Hey Crim. I was just wondering what you think of the new Batman v Superman trailer? In my opinion I think it was awesome, but I'm completely biased to anything DC, especially when it involves Batman & Superman in one film. Outsider (talk) 22:07, April 22, 2015 (UTC)

I'm rather split about the trailer, in all honesty. On one hand, I was intrigued by the public's perception of Superman, and couldn't help but be interested. On the other, Batman's line about Superman bleeding irks me. It sounds uncharacteristically bloodthirsty, even for Batman. Basically, while I liked the trailer enough, I'm still not completely sold on the movie.
Did you see the picture of Suicide Squads's Joker that was released last night? --Crimson Knight Comms 13:17, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, I have seen that picture. I'm more interested to be honest in seeing pictures of Deadshot & Captain Boomerang. I also believe I heard something about Deathstroke being in the film, so him too.
The Joker should be a great addition to the film, but I feel there's too much focus on him considering how many new characters we are getting that have never been in a film before. The main thing that interests me about the Joker in SS is how he actually got there. Because I'm assuming Batman was the one to take him down, so I would like to know under what circumstances and why Amanda Waller wants his abilities.
By the way, what do you think of Ben Affleck playing Batman? I was initially a little worried, but the Batman v Superman trailer sold me on him. And I don't think you should be concerned about the "do you bleed?" line because that could simply be another character saying that but dubbed over that one scene. And even if it is Batman, I wouldn't say it's out of character because Batman is supposed to be very intimidating & that is especially important considering he is outmatched physically by Kal. Outsider (talk) 16:57, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
Still not sure why Batman would use a bootleg Iron Man suit to fight Superman. Instead of, you know, Kryptonite. I get they're playing the "level the playing field" game, as Batman couldn't possibly defeat Superman in normal hand-to-hand, but I really doubt a wannabe Hulkbuster armor would do the job either, as Superman would just rip him out of it. Because that's all I see there, after also seeing Tony throw down with Banner in Age of Ultron trailer. Someone at DC went "Oh shit, they got an armored suit, quick, adapt this into BvS movie!" --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 17:41, April 25, 2015 (UTC)

Fallout 4 Edit

has been announced. :D Saints'Hoodie(The Talk) 17:59, June 3, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, I noticed. Pity, if Arkham Knight had been released yesterday as planned, this would have been an incredible time for me as a gamer. xD
Still, I'm very excited, and I hope to see gameplay footage very soon. It's been a long time since Bethesda have done Fallout. --Crimson Knight Comms 21:12, June 3, 2015 (UTC)
Ooh, 2015 is gonna be an amazing year for a gamer. And I have all faith in Bethesda. Hope the character customization is better this time around, though. Saints'Hoodie(The Talk) 06:27, June 5, 2015 (UTC)
If I'm being honest, I do have some doubts. I was incredibly hyped for Skyrim, but I find it inferior to Oblivion in numerous ways. Hopefully this won't be the case for Fallout 4, but it's a possibility I've considered. --Crimson Knight Comms 13:59, June 5, 2015 (UTC)
You might want to steer this discussion over to the forums before it gets too long. :) Slate Vesper (talk) 01:01, June 6, 2015 (UTC)

Just a messageEdit

Hey there, Crims. I noticed you're resignation message on Sima's talk page, and instead of spamming him some more, I figured I'd just leave you a message here. Basically, it's just a quick message to say that I'm sorry to see you go. It's been good having you around, and you've done a lot of good work around here, for which I'd like to thank you. Do drop by the IRC every now and again, would you? And finally, just make sure you're safe and happy out there, without all of our awesomeness surrounding you ;) Amnestyyy (Contact me!) @fandom 21:48, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, Nesty. I really appreciate that. I'd love to pop 'round the IRC sometime over the next week if I have time, so it would be nice to catch up with everyone. A big thanks to you and everyone else for making me feel so welcome during my time here. :) --Crimson Knight Comms 21:21, December 5, 2015 (UTC)

Thx for comment? approval? of the Small-hilted swords pg. I see you changed the small dash "-" to a long dash, "–". For references like this [game] - [DLC / Database], I've generally seen the small dash used, not the big one. While I talked to Crook about this earlier, it was for pg names. Am I splitting hairs?
Unrelated: you have a hanging formatting apostrophe when mentioning Suicide Squad's Joker. The coding thinks you're trying to bold something, since you wrote, and I quote, ''Suicide Squad'''s. Gives purple highlight to the source text down here. --Darman (talk) 14:43, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

It was a comment of approval, yes. You probably noticed that I used to write a ton of weapons articles way back in the day, and I appreciate your efforts to keep to my style. I don't think it's too big a deal, but I think the longer dash is better for splitting games and DLCs. That's what I used to see most of the time, but things might have changed. I could be wrong, but the shorted 'dash' should only really be used in hyphenated words. I wouldn't stress about it.
As for your unrelated, I hadn't noticed that, but since it's a year old, I think I can let it slide. Well spotted though. --Crimson Knight Comms 23:06, May 18, 2016 (UTC)
Thx again. Figured I should continue professional-like descriptions. If we change dashes as we come across them, what do we use for consistency? Since you've responded, do you still need the "Absent" template? I forgot you had it when I asked (oops). Oh, and do you do renders? If so, I'm having some troubles here re: images. If not, that's OK, just asking. --Darman (talk) 02:00, May 19, 2016 (UTC)
No problem. I think I've had that absent template since late 2014 and haven't removed it since, so don't worry about it. I haven't been consistent in my presence on the wiki for well over a year, so that's mainly why the absent template is still there – that and I'm lazy sometimes. Here's what I would use long dashes for:
  • Parenthesis (when you don't want to use brackets; ironic)
  • Separating games and DLC (in references and whatnot)
  • Splitting up a sentence (like I just did above)
  • Between dates (see here)
As far as short dashes go, I'm sure they're just hyphens, and should only really be in hyphenated words.
Also, I'm afraid I don't renders. I play(ed) the games on console, so I can't extract their models or anything. I don't see why you can't just use the Brotherhood images though, even if it's only temporarily. We use the Spada Lunga image from Brotherhood for the Prussian Longsword from Revelations, even though that's wrong. --Crimson Knight Comms 14:29, May 19, 2016 (UTC)
