Staff Merits! They're now ACTUALLY official! After quite a few drawbacks and delays, they're here; for real this time.
I would explain further, but I think this cropped conversation can answer all your questions! If this doesn't help you then read the rules below.

Hey D., this idea's been swirling around my head for a while now. I was thinking, another way to reward users for their hard work is to give them staff awarded-only merit badges, as a sign of knowledge and awesomeness. It would give user's an ego boost, it would help them out in votes and voting sessions, it would make them look and feel more appreciated and like a better editor too!

Each staff member should have a different merit with a different name for it, and if a user collects them all (very unlikely)... well, I don't know, yet. Maybe, if they haven't already been nominated for the Istruttori or if they don't want to join, then they should be granted Rollback rights. But that's only if they haven't already been nominated, and, they probably would want nominate themselves after earning quite a few merits.

Here's mine [[1]], I'm going to award it to a user, but if you don't like the idea on the offchance, please don't delete the userbox, as I'm sure that one user would be unhappy if it was taken away. If you don't like it, I'll stop awarding it after that one user, I hope you like the idea, I'm sure you will.

:Hey that's a pretty neat idea! I like it (That's just me though). Like a little seal of approval. Can I make my own? --War'ClownWanna Talk? 04:38, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
::Yeah, sure! That's the idea, the staff has to have their own different, unique seals/merits, I'm glad you like the idea. --THIEF 04:42, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
:Does the pic have to be AC Connected? Because I want to use a different image. Is it alright? --War'ClownWanna Talk? 04:59, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
::Sure it's alright! THIEF 05:16, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
::Looks pretty good, Thief. Looking forward to seeing your badge, War ;D -- D. Cello 05:23, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I joined in. Just two things: I would like to make all templates like this: Template:UserMerit<Your-name-here>, so it can be easier to listD. Cello 05:34, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
-CONVO CUT!-

For Editors

Try your best to earn merits! Be cool, be sophisticated, be epic, be knowledgeable; be awesome. Earn them all and get a reward!

Post your opinions in the comments below, please! ==Rules==
#Only the staff can make these merits and award them.
#Each staff member must have a unique merit, mine is for, literally speaking "being a speedy bastard of an editor :)".
#Staff must name their template: Template:UserMerit<Your-name-here>, and must submit it to the "awards" category. (Use my merit as a guideline)

List of Merits Made

Staff, I'll add new ones to the list when they are submitted, also include a description. These submittions are to be in the blog post comments or at my talkpage. Thanks.
