Hello, people of AC Wiki,

This is my first blog, and it's about something I suspected since the reveal of Watch Dogs at E3 2012: the hacking game's connection to Assassin's Creed. Now, I've been around the Internet, saying that there was going to be some connection between Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs, bigger than an easter egg, yet have been shut down and ignored every time. Well, it looks like some of us speculative bastards were right: there is a pretty big connection to Watch Dogs in Assassin's Creed IV.

"Ubisoft's new franchise crosses over with its heaviest hitter in a seemingly innocuous way: While hacking computers in the Abstergo offices, you can find a brochure for the Blume Corporation, the company responsible for Watch Dog's ctOS security system and protocol, along with comments from Abstergo personnel about Blume and ctOS.
It's unclear whether this is a sign of an official connection between Watch Dogs and the Assassin's Creed series that could be explored in future games, or if the brochure is just an Easter Egg."
Polygon

Now take that as you will, but though an unofficial connection, as of now, that's a pretty big "easter egg" if you ask me.

Scratching an itch?

I've found even more information that supports the claim of Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs possibly being connected, provided to you by Examiner.com.

"In a Reddit ask me anything session with fans of Assassin’s Creed, AC4 lead writer Darby McDevitt said, 'Watchdogs will scratch the itch for a modern day AC. Just wait!'"
