I like most people was a little let down when the news first hit about Assassins Creed 3 being set in colonial America. I mean, I want to free run over giant buildings and make epic leaps of faith off of tall towers. But, then I really started to think about it.
- The Eagle (national bird of the US) is a strong symbol that consistently pops up in the Assassin Creed Universe.
- Desmond is American so how fitting is it that he finally returns home in the final game.
- The temple is in NY.
- The "frozen frontier" is a great idea to differentiate this game from some of the previous ones and to give us, the fans, something new that we haven't seen before. Plus, since it's only going to make up about 1/3 of the game, we'll still have plenty of urban combat/…
