I figured it might be appropriate to resurface the old admin symbols we used in the old days for this post.
Today, I will be stepping down as bureaucrat and administrator of the Assassin's Creed Wiki. Eleven years ago, I joined this wiki out of passion for a franchise I fell in love the moment I started playing the first game. It didn't take me longer than a day or two to go from playing the game to making my first edit on this wiki.

Gamescom has started and to celebrate that, all of Assassin's Creed fans have been treated with a new forray of Assassin's Creed: Origins trailers! Take a look at some of the new gameplay mechanics, environments and characters we'll get to familiarize ourselves with come October!

Assassinews 18-02-'16 – New Assassin's Creed book series announced
Ubisoft and Scholastic have announced a collaborative effort in the form of a new Assassin's Creed book series. The young adult novels, written by Matthew J. Kirby, will be titled Last Descendants, with its first installment set to release in September of this year. The second novel will come out in January 2017.
The books will follow a group of teenagers who are dragged into the conflict between the Assassins and Templars. In the first novel, the protagonist Owen will dive into the genetic memories of his ancestors through the Animus to prove his late father's innocence. Assassinews 11-02-'16 – No Assassin's Creed game in 2016 confirmed by Ubisoft
Ubisoft has confirmed that there will be no main title release in the Assassin's Creed franchise in 2016. Previously, this news came about as a rumour on 4chan and was backed up by Kotaku who claimed to have sources corroborating this story. The team will be taking the year of to reinvent the series and deliver a great open world experience for 2017. The previous rumour claimed that the next title is codenamed Empire and will be set at the time of Ancient Egypt.
In the meantime, the Assassin's Creed film will debut on December 21, 2016, and there will be two comic series running throughout the rest of 2016 called Assassin's Creed and Templars. 2016 will also see the release of the iOS game Assassin's Creed: Identity.
Assassinews 27-08-'15 – First look at Michael Fassbender in the Assassin's Creed film
Today Yahoo offered a first look at Michael Fassbender in costume as the main character in the upcoming Assassin's Creed film.
Fassbender's character is Callum Lynch, who discovered he's a descendant of Assassins through reliving the life of his ancestor Aguilar in 15th century Spain. After acquiring his ancestor's skills, he's poised to take on the Knights Templar in the modern era.
This confirms rumours that started circulating last year which said the film would take place at the time of the Spanish Inquisition.
The film is slated for release on 21 December 2016.
