Hello, goodbye, whatever. ANYWAY! This will be my review of the latest entry in the Assassin's Creed series; Assassin's Creed 3. Now before I go into this, I'm gonna talk a little bit about the previous 4 games. Originally I had not heard of the very game until 2009 when the ads and TV spots for Assassin's Creed 2. Ignorant as I was, the first TV spot I saw made me think it was some killer game set in Medieval England... Yeah...
Well, interested I bought the first game and I was certainly impressed. Was the gameplay repetitive? Yes. But fucking hell, what very good storytelling, interesting points and an overall original concept. I loved Assassin's Creed and the same could be said for it's sequel. This game improved a lot, repetitive gameplay was gone, more interesting environment, characters, more fleshed out. Only problems were the more easy combat and the Templars being all evil monsters for the sake of being evil monsters.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood... Meh. It was a good game that did improve on Desmond story, but as I have described it, and Assassin's Creed: Revelations for that matter, as wasted potential. I do enjoy Brotherhood and one or two parts of Revelations, but for the most part, they were disappointing
So now onto Assassin's Creed, a game that has a lot of wasted potential and weird and odd things about. Does this review already sound negative? Well it isn't, because despite what I said above, Assassin's Creed 3 is my favourite in the series so far.
Let's get into the review.
