Desmond's son

There is a question. A question who had been at the top of my head since I played AC: Brotherhood. An unresolved question which leads to what I call the greatest untold mystery in the Assassin's Creed narrative. It's a question I have been waiting for a long time to be answered, BUT... But it never came. It was not until I arrived to the conclusion of AC III that I realized there was something wrong. For the question is: Who is Desmond Miles' son and what is his purpose?

For those of you who have no idea about what I'm talking, let's get the clock back. In Brotherhood, much likely the Glyphs in ACII, you can find what they call the Rifts, which when you found them all gave you access to the Miracle, a short parkour game within the Animus ma…

Numerous Controversies

I would not like to blame Ubisoft, but things are not going very well for them since 2012, at least concerning the Assassin's Creed saga to speak the truth.

Back in 2012, you might remember or at least have heard of that guy named John L. Beiswenger. Well, I guess. Does this name ring any bells to you ? If not, let me remind you. On April 16th 2012, Mr Beiswenger, a dreadful writer and a so called product research engineer sued Ubisoft for having taken, as he claimed, major elements from his very much awful book Link to create the plot of the Assassin's Creed series, such as Christian religion, gods, the forbidden fruit and a machine supposed to be similar to the Animus. Fortunately (for us), the case was not strong enough and Beiswenger had to …

Finally, a director for the Assassin's Creed movie!

After a few months in doubt and uncertainty, a change of screenwriters and rumors about the possibility that Swedish Daniel Espinosa could direct, actor Michael Fassbender, attached to the project as producer and main actor has announced that Australian Justin Kurzel will be the one to give life to our beloved franchise. While I always expected that a renowned director would be hired, I have to admit I'm quite happy with that choice. Why? Well, to begin with, this is not the first time that Fassbender and Kurzel work together. They actually finished the principal photography of their adaptation of William Shakespear's Macbeth in which Fassbender portrays the homonymous character. Add to this that Kurzel is an awarded filmmaker in his countr…

Who should direct the "Assassin's Creed" movie?

As you all might know (I expect so), a film about Assassin's Creed is being prepared. Micheal Fassbender (300, Prometheus, X-Men: First Class, Inglourious Basterds) has been cast to play the main protagonist, as well producing himself the film alonside Hollywood producer Frank Marshall (Indiana Jones series, Back to the Future trilogy). The first draft of the screenplay has been written by Michael Lesslie and Scott Frank (Minority Report, The Wolverine). We can expect to see Desmond nearly soon on the big screen as the film will hit theatres on June 19th 2015. But the most interesting question remains: who will direct Assassin's Creed? Since Ubisoft is keeping its hand on the creative control, I may assume it will not be anyone who shall direct su…
