  • The Gallo-Roman Assassin Aquilus was taken captive by Romans under command of general Gracchus.[9] An army of Alemanni soldiers, led by the Assassin Accipiter, defeated the Roman legion and saved Aquilus.[10]
  • Aquilus acquired the Ankh from Accipiter and transported it to his family's villa in Lugdunum, where his father Lucius tasked him with the assassination of the local priest Faustinus, who had betrayed the Assassins.[10]
  • The Roman senator and Templar Caïus Fulvus Vultur killed Lucius and his servant Weke to obtain the Ankh,[10] and brought it with him to Rome.[11]
  • Aquilus killed Caïus Fulvus Vultur inside his villa in Rome, and took the Ankh back to his home in Lugdunum, where he watched a recording made by his father using the artifact.[11]
  • Accipiter brokered a truce with the Prefect of Lugdunum to spare the city from being conquered and sacked by the Alemanni.[11]
  • Aquilus and his wife Valeria were captured by Roman soldiers and transported to be executed in Rodumna. Aquilus was killed by one of the soldiers when the convoy was ambushed by Accipiter.[11]

  • July 15: An army of Crusaders captured the city of Jerusalem, marking the end of the First Crusade and the start of a Crusader presence in the Holy Land for over two centuries.[5]

  • August:
    • Sultan Salāḥ ad-Dīn laid siege to the Levantine Assassins' fortress in Masyaf. Acting on information received from Ahmad Sofian, the Assassins' leader Al Mualim tasked Umar Ibn-La'Ahad with infiltrating the enemy camp, where he left a note tied to a dagger in Salāḥ ad-Dīn's tent.[12]
    • Šihāb ad-Dīn, uncle to Salāḥ ad-Dīn, brokered a truce with the Assassins on the condition that Umar Ibn-La'Ahad be executed for taking the life of a Ayyubid nobleman during his infiltration of their camp. Against Al Mualim's will, Umar voluntarily had his life taken.[12]
    • Ahmad Sofian committed suicide inside the quarters of Umar Ibn-La'Ahad's son Altaïr because of his remorse over giving Umar's name to the Saracens while in their captivity.[12]

  • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad assassinated Haras, an Assassin-turned Templar, in Masyaf fortress during an attack by the Templars, saving the life of Al Mualim.[4] Altaïr was elevated to the rank of Master Assassin.[5]

  • The Knights Templar besieged the Assassins' fortress in Aleppo, on orders of their de facto leader Lord Basilisk, though the Assassins were able to fend off the attack.[13]
  • Al Mualim tasked Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad with finding the Chalice, an ancient artifact that held powers similar to a Piece of Eden.[13]
  • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad traveled to Damascus and assassinated the Templar merchant Tamir, and the Templar Knight Alaat on behalf of Fajera, who handed him one of the keys to the Temple of the Sand, where the Chalice was supposedly held.[13]
  • Roland Napule was assassinated by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in Tyre on orders of the local rafiq Hamid. Altaïr retrieved a second key to the Temple of the Sand from one of Napule's captives.[13]
  • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad retrieved the third key to the Temple of the Sand from Templar leader Basilisk at a party in Jerusalem, acting upon information gained from the rafiq Kadar and the nobleman Ayman.[13]
  • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad killed the Master of the Templars' Jerusalem Tower and his student while attempting to retrieve a map of the Temple of the Sand.[13]
  • Lord Basilisk attempted to stop the Siege of Acre by poisoning Acre's water supply, though the plan was thwarted by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. Altaïr bested Basilisk in combat, but spared his life in exchange for the location of the Chalice.[13]
  • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad killed Harash, the second-in-command of Al Mualim, after hearing of his betrayal from Adha, who revealed herself to be the Chalice.[13]
  • Lord Basilisk was killed by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in the harbor of Tyre, after the Templars captured Adha. Despite Basilisk's death, the Templars shipped Adha away from Tyre.[13]

  • July:
    • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and the brothers Malik and Kadar Al-Sayf infiltrated the Jerusalem Vault to retrieve an Apple of Eden. After encountering Templars led by Grand Master Robert de Sable, Kadar was killed and Malik lost his left arm, though the latter brought the artifact back to Masyaf.[14]
    • The Assassins fended off an attack by the Knights Templar led by Robert de Sable. Al Mualim demoted Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad for betraying the three tenets of the Assassin's Creed.[14]
  • July–September: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad killed eight of his nine Templar assassination targets – Tamir, Garnier de Naplouse, Talal, Abu'l Nuqoud, William of Montferrat, Majd Addin, Sibrand and Jubair al Hakim – in the cities of Damascus, Acre and Jerusalem, to restore his rank of Master Assassin.[14]
  • September: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad attempted to assassinate Robert de Sable at the funeral of Majd Addin in Jerusalem, but discovered that Robert had assigned Maria Thorpe as his decoy. Altaïr spared Maria's life.[14]
  • September 7: Crusader and Saracen forces clashed at the Battle of Arsuf, where the Crusaders emerged victorious. The Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad fought his way across the battlefield to the Crusader camp, where he challenged Robert de Sable to a duel, in which de Sable was killed.[14]
  • September:
    • Al Mualim was killed by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad after betraying the Assassin Brotherhood by brainwashing his subjects using the Apple of Eden to make them worship him.[14]
    • Abbas Sofian sparked a minor civil war among the Assassins against Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. Abbas stole their Mentor's Apple of Eden, though it slowly began killing him, until he was saved by Altaïr.[4]
    • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad succeeded Al Mualim as Mentor of the Levantine Brotherhood of Assassins, after persuading the Assassins of his capabilities.[12]
  • Fall:
    • Grand Master Armand Bouchart, who succeeded Robert de Sable, relocated the Knights Templar to Cyprus. During their relocation from Acre, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad led an Assassin attack on Acre's harbor and captured Maria Thorpe.[15]
    • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad killed the Templar captain Frederick "the Red" in Limassol Castle, after establishing contact with Alexander of Limassol, the local leader of the resistance against the Knights Templar.[15]
    • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad rescued Maria Thorpe from imprisonment by Armand Bouchart, who did not intend to break the Latin Rule by conspiring with women. The two traveled by boat to Kyrenia.[15]

  • Jonas, a merchant from Kyrenia, was killed by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad on behalf of a Templar agent posing as the Kyrenia resistance leader Barnabas, triggering a riot among the populace.[15]
  • Moloch, leader of a local group of fanatics and a Templar ally, was killed by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in Kantara Castle, acting upon information gained from Maria Thorpe and resistance soldier Markos.[15]
  • The Dark Oracle, a former Cypriot noblewoman, provided the Knights Templar with the locations of resistance members. Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad rescued the members from captivity, and killed the Dark Oracle in Buffavento Castle.[15]
  • Maria Thorpe and Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad infiltrated Saint Hilarion Castle, where Altaïr killed Moloch's sons, the Templars Shalim and Shahar, eradicating the Templar presence in Kyrenia.[15]

  • The Knights Templar moved all their artifacts out of the Templar Archive in Limassol to an unknown location, on orders of Grand Master Armand Bouchart.[15]
  • Grand Master Armand Bouchart was killed by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, during a duel between the two in the Templar Archive.[15]

  • July 12: The Crusaders conquered and sacked the city of Constantinople, ending the Fourth Crusade. During the siege, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, who had come to Constantinople to spread the influence of the Assassins, was forced to retreat from the city.[12]

  • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, his wife Maria and their son Darim left Masyaf to oppose the rise of the Mongol Empire and eliminate Genghis Khan. Malik Al-Sayf was left to lead the Assassins, with help of Darim's younger brother Sef.[12]

  • Sef Ibn-La'Ahad, son of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, was killed by the apprentice Swami on orders of Abbas Sofian, in an attempt to claim control of the Levantine Assassins.[12]
  • Malik Al-Sayf was framed for the murder of Sef Ibn-La'Ahad by Abbas Sofian, who placed a council in charge of the Levantine Assassins, with himself at its head.[12]

  • February: Jochi Khan, first son of the Mongol warlord Genghis Khan, was fatally poisoned by the Assassin Darim Ibn-La'Ahad.[16]
  • August: Genghis Khan, ruler of the Mongol Empire, was killed by the Assassin Darim Ibn-La'Ahad in China, after he fell off his horse when it was shot by Qulan Gal.[12]

  • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, Maria Thorpe and their son Darim returned to Masyaf, where they were informed of the ruling council. Darim traveled to Alamut to meet with Sef's wife and children.[12]
  • Malik Al-Sayf was rescued by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad from Masyaf's dungeons, from whom Altaïr heard the truth about his son Sef's death. In Altaïr's and Maria's absence, Malik was beheaded by Swami.[12]
  • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and Maria Thorpe confronted Abbas Sofian in Masyaf's fortress. Upon being taunted by Swami, Altaïr used the Apple to force Swami to kill himself. In the ensuing frenzy, Swami fatally stabbed Maria.[12] Altaïr escaped Masyaf with help from his son Darim.[4]
  • Altaïr exiled himself to the Assassins' fortress at Alamut,[12] while Abbas usurped the title of Mentor.[4] At Alamut, Altaïr made several discoveries and inventions using the Apple of Eden, and discovered Memory Seals in the Temple beneath the fortress.[12]

  • December 11: Ögedei Khan, the second Great Khan of the Mongol Empire and the third son of Genghis Khan, was killed by the Assassin Nergüi.[16]

1247

  • The merchant Mukhlis from the brigands Bayhas and his henchmen outside Masyaf by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, who had returned from his self-imposed exile in Alamut.[12]
  • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad started gaining the support of the Levantine Assassins and Masyaf's villagers in attempting to take back the declining Brotherhood under Abbas Sofian, and befriended Malik Al-Sayf's son Tazim.[12]
  • Abbas Sofian was killed by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad using the Hidden Gun, during a non-violent assault on Masyaf fortress by Altaïr and his supporters. Altaïr was welcomed as Mentor of the Levantine Brotherhood of Assassins.[12]
  • Construction began on a hidden library beneath the fortress of Masyaf, under orders of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.[12]

  • January: Niccolò and Maffeo Polo arrived in Masyaf on invitation of their friend Darim Ibn-La'Ahad, and became acquainted with the Mentor Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.[12]
  • July: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and his son Darim began training Niccolò and Maffeo Polo in the ways of the Assassin Brotherhood, in the hopes that they would help spread their ideology to the west. Niccolò started writing his journal, The Secret Crusade, detailing Altaïr's life.[12]
  • August 12:
    • Hülegü Khan began the Mongol siege on the Assassin fortress at Masyaf,[12] ultimately rendering the fortress abandoned.[4]
    • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad guided Niccolò and Maffeo Polo out of the city and granted them his Codex, the Masyaf Keys and several books, and allowed the rest of the Brotherhood to escape.[4]
    • Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad passed away after locking himself inside his library with the Apple of Eden and imprinting his last memory into the sixth Memory Seal.[4]
  • August 14: Niccolò and Maffeo Polo were attacked by a Mongol raiding party in the Syrian countryside, and lost Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex.[18]

  • January: Niccolò and Maffeo Polo scattered Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's books around various landmarks in Constantinople, and hid the five Masyaf Keys in underground tombs located beneath the city.[12]

  • Niccolò and Maffeo Polo left Constantinople to journey to the Mongol Empire to retrieve Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex, without succes.[4]

  • November 14: Alexander Nevsky, a Russian leader and Templar ally, was killed by the Assassin Nergüi for his alliance with the Golden Horde and influence over the Mongol Empire.[16]

  • February 8: Hülegü Khan was killed by the Mongolian Assassin Nergüi, out of retribution for the destruction of Masyaf and the Levantine Assassins.[16]

  • Niccolò and Maffeo Polo returned to their home in Venice, Italy, where they established an Assassins Guild.[5]

  • November: Marco Polo left on a journey to Asia with his father Niccolò and uncle Maffeo, intent on retrieving the codex of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.[6]

  • May: Marco Polo retrieved Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex from Kublai Khan's summer palace in Shangdu, bringing it with him when he returned to Venice several years later.[6]

  • March 18: Jacques de Molay, the last publicly recognized Grand Master of the Knights Templar[5] and Sage,[19] was burned at the stake alongside Geoffroi de Charney. Before his death, de Molay sent nine of his most trusted men across the known world to continue the Order's objectives underground.[5]

  • September 14: Dante Alighieri was killed by the Templars, revealing their continued existence to the Assassins.[2]
  • September 25: Domenico Auditore and his wife and son attempted to bring Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex to Spain, but were attacked in the Otranto harbor by pirates employed by the Templars; his wife did not survive the encounter.[2]

  • January: Marco Polo, and later Domenico Auditore's father, were killed by the Templars.[2]
  • Domenico Auditore bought and renovated the villa in Monteriggioni, renaming it Villa Auditore. Monteriggioni became the headquarters of the Italian Assassins.[2]

  • June 7: The reigning Bahri Sultan of Egypt, Al-Nasir Muhammad, was killed by his servant Leila, a secret Templar agent.[21]
  • Numa Al'Khamsin and his apprentice Ali Al-Ghrabe recovered the Scepter of Aset, disassembled in an Ankh-shaped box, from the Templars in Karnak.[21]

  • The Brothers of the Cross and Lukas Zurburg mysteriously vanished from public view.[20]

  • The Assassins stole the original Shroud of Eden from Geoffroy de Charny, a French knight and Templar, and replaced it with a forgery. A member of the Auditore family ordered the Shroud to be buried beneath the Villa Auditore.[8]

  • July 17: Zhu Di became the Yongle Emperor, with aid from the Templars, founding the Ming dynasty and succeeding the Jianwen Emperor.[20]
  • July: The Chinese imperial army arrested and executed thousands of people, on orders of the Yongle Emperor, on suspicions of being Assassins; the Assassin leader Fang Xiaoru was killed during the purge. Li Tong managed to escape the Assassin headquarters in Beijing with an Apple of Eden.[20]

  • Autumn: The Chinese admiral Zheng He started his fifth exploration voyage, discovering lands in Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East, ahead of European explorers.[6]

  • August 12: The Yongle Emperor was assassinated by the Assassin Li Tong while trying to suppress a rebellion in the Gobi Desert.[20]

  • May 30: Jeanne d'Arc was burned at the stake by the English, an act that was orchestrated by the Templars to obtain the Sword of Eden she had in her possession.[2]

  • September: Monteriggioni was besieged by the Florentine army led by Federico da Montefeltro. Under Mario Auditore's leadership, Monteriggioni managed to fend off the siege.[8]
  • October 1: Mario Auditore discovered the Shroud of Eden beneath the Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni; while exploring the crypts, Mario lost an eye upon triggering a trap.[8]

  • January: Ezio Auditore and his mother Maria and sister Claudia left Florence and moved to Monteriggioni to live with their uncle Mario in the Villa Auditore.[2]

  • April 14: Vieri de' Pazzi, a Templar, was killed by his childhood rival Ezio Auditore da Firenze in San Gimignano in Tuscany for conspiring with the Templars.[2]
  • April 26:
    • Lorenzo de' Medici, ruler of Florence, and his brother Giuliano were attacked by the Templar Pazzi conspirators, resulting in the death of Giuliano. Lorenzo was saved and brought to safety by Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who had spied on the conspirators' meeting with aid from La Volpe.[2]
    • Francesco de' Pazzi was killed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Francesco's body was hung from the Palazzo della Signoria, while his uncle Jacopo de' Pazzi was rallying a mob against the Medici.[2]
  • Antonio Maffei, a Pazzi conspirator, was killed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze atop San Gimignano's tallest tower.[2]

  • January 3: Jacopo de' Pazzi was killed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze, after he was mortally wounded by Grand Master Rodrigo Borgia and Emilio Barbarigo during a Templar meeting in the Antico Teatro Romano for his failure during the Pazzi Conspiracy.[2]

  • March 3: Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Leonardo da Vinci sailed to Venice, with aid from Caterina Sforza, where Ezio would form an alliance with the local thieves guild.[2]
  • May 3: Sultan Mehmet II of the Ottoman Empire passed away, leaving his two sons Bayezid and Cem, a Templar, competing for the throne. Though Cem managed to secure their father's Apple of Eden, Bayezid secured the Ottoman throne.[23]

1482

  • June: Prince Cem hid his Apple of Eden in the Templar Archive on Cyprus after realizing the artifact refused to communicate with him, so that the European Templars could find it.[23]
  • June 29: Prince Cem met the Knights Hospitaller on Rhodes; however, he was betrayed by the Hospitallers and sent to be imprisoned in Europe,[23] and became acquainted with Grand Master Rodrigo Borgia in Italy.[4]

  • February 15: Marco Barbarigo, the Templar Doge of Venice, was killed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze after infiltrating the Doge's Carnevale feast with help from Sister Teodora.[2]
  • July 11:
    • Silvio Barbarigo and Dante Moro, members of the Templar Order, were killed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze with aid from Bartolomeo d'Alviano's mercenaries.[2]
    • The Italian Templars left Venice to retrieve the Piece of Eden from Cyprus, after ascertaining its location from Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex pages.[2]

  • June 16: The army of Lambert Simnel, a pretender to the English throne and Templar puppet, was defeated by King Henry VII of England, and Simnel was imprisoned.[8]

1488

  • June 25: Ezio Auditore da Firenze stole the Apple of Eden from the Templars in Venice, who had just returned from Cyprus. After a confrontation with Grand Master Rodrigo Borgia, Ezio was formally inducted into the Assassin Order by his allies from the courtesans, thieves and mercenaries guilds.[2]
  • July 7:
    • The brothers Checco and Ludovico Orsi attacked the city of Forlì on orders of Grand Master Rodrigo Borgia, after its ruler Caterina Sforza had hired the Orsi brothers to kill her Templar husband Girolamo Riario.[2]
    • Ludovico and Checco Orsi were killed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who had come to Forlì with Niccolò Machiavelli to give the Apple of Eden to Caterina Sforza for safekeeping; Ezio passed out after being wounded by Checco, and lost the artifact to the monk Girolamo Savonarola.[2]

  • The explorer Christoffa Corombo was saved by Ezio Auditore da Firenze from being killed by Borgia guards during a scheduled meeting with Rodrigo Borgia, to prevent Corombo from discovering the Americas.[25]
  • Ezio Auditore da Firenze forged an alliance with Christoffa Corombo and his friend Luis de Santángel, secretly an Assassin, and traveled with them to Spain to stop the persecution of Spanish Assassins by the Spanish Inquisition, influenced by the Templars.[25]
  • Ezio Auditore da Firenze killed the Inquisitors Gaspar Martinez in Barcelona and Pedro Llorente in Zaragoza after establishing contact with the Assassin Raphael Sánchez, saving the captured Assassins in the process.[25]
  • King Muhammad XII of Granada was rescued from the Templars amidst a Spanish siege on Granada. Ezio convinced Muhammad to make peace with Queen Isabela and end the Templar-driven war.[25]
  • The Inquisitor Juan de Marillo was killed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze after attempting to round up and execute the Spanish Assassins in Granada.[25]
  • Christoffa Corombo was saved by Ezio Auditore da Firenze from a Templar attack while en route to France, after being lured there by the Templars with a false promise of the French King financing his journey.[25]

1492

  • January: King Ferdinand II of Aragon and Queen Isabella I of Castile agreed to finance half of Christoffa Corombo's journey to discover an alternate sea route to Asia, with the Spanish Assassins covering the other half of the costs.[25]
  • August: Ezio Auditore da Firenze infiltrated the palace of Grand Inquisitor Tomás de Torquemada with the intent of assassinating Torquemada, but ultimately spared his life after he escaped and Ezio believed that he was nothing more than a puppet to Rodrigo Borgia.[25]
  • August 11: Grand Master Rodrigo Borgia was elected as the new head of the Catholic Church, after purchasing votes from the other cardinals, and became known as Pope Alexander VI.[26]
  • October 12: Christoffa Corombo's fleet discovered the Americas, and landed on the island of Guanahani, inhabited by the Taíno.[25]

  • November 9: Girolamo Savonarola stirred the Florentines into rebelling against Piero de' Medici using the Apple of Eden. The Medici were exiled and Savonarola became the city's de facto leader.[26]
  • Marcello Savonarola, cousin to Girolamo Savonarola, was saved in Florence by Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Borgia guards.[26]
  • Piero de' Medici was saved by Girolamo Savonarola's followers in Venice. With Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Piero took down his attackers and a corrupt herald.[26]

  • June: The Assassin Duncan Walpole was killed by the pirate Edward Kenway, after Walpole had killed Edward's captain Abel Bramah and both ships had been destroyed near Cape Bonavista. Stealing Walpole's identity, Edward saved Stede Bonnet from British soldiers and left with him for Havana.[37]

    • Woodes Rogers, Julien du Casse and Edward Kenway, posing as the Assassin Duncan Walpole, were inducted into the Templar Order by Grand Master Laureano de Torres y Ayala.[37]

  • February 10: Bartholomew Roberts was killed by the pirate Edward Kenway near Príncipe on orders of Ah Tabai, taking possession of the Crystal Skull and the blood vials. Upon Roberts' request, Edward destroyed his body to prevent it from falling into Templar hands.[37]
  • El Tiburón, Laureano de Torres y Ayala's right hand man, was killed by the pirate Edward Kenway in Castillo de San Salvador de la Punta in Havana.[37]

  • Robert Walpole, the future Prime Minister of Great Britain, pardoned Edward Kenway and his pirate crew. Walpole purchased a house in London for Kenway, introduced him to the Stephensen-Oakley family and employed his new assistant, Reginald Birch.[43]
  • Edward Kenway joined the British Brotherhood of Assassins and became their co-leader alongside Miko.[1] He started travelling to find out more about the First Civilization, exploring the temples in Rome and Alamut,[22] and found a Shroud of Eden, which he kept hidden from the world.[1]

  • The Victoire, captained by Adéwalé, ambushed a convoy of French Templar ships near Saint-Domingue, and intercepted a parcel adressed to Bastienne Josèphe in Port-au-Prince. While fleeing from the Templars, the Victoire was destroyed in a storm, and Adéwalé washed up in Port-au-Prince.[44]
  • Adéwalé formed an alliance with Bastienne Josèphe and Augustin Dieufort, leader of the Maroon rebellion against the Governor Pierre, Marquis de Fayet. Adéwalé stole the Experto Crede and made it his flagship, and helped free the colony's slaves.[44]
  • The Experto Crede protected the Vautour, a French merchant ship transporting French scientists for the French Geodesic Mission and slave spying for the Assassins and Maroons, from pirate ships.[44]
  • December 3: The Assassin Edward Kenway was killed in his family's house in London by masked men employed by Reginald Birch, Kenway's property manager and a Templar. The masked men proceeded to steal Kenway's journal, and kidnapped his daughter Jennifer.[45]

  • The Chevalier de la Vérendrye, an Assassin, was killed by the Templar Shay Cormac in the North Atlantic during an expedition to distract the Templars from their search for the Precursor temple in the Arctic.[22]
  • March: A First Civilization temple in the North Atlantic created an earthquake after its Piece of Eden was disturbed during a confrontation between Achilles Davenport, Liam O'Brien, Haytham Kenway and Shay Cormac. Liam was killed by Shay, and Achilles was shot in the leg by Haytham.[22]

  • October 27: Antonio de Ulloa, the Spanish Governor of Louisiana, was attacked by the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré while trying to escape New Orleans during the Louisiana Rebellion. Aveline spared the Governor's life and retrieved a map leading to a Templar work camp in Chichen Itza.[46]

  • Aveline de Grandpré killed the Templar Rafael Joaquín de Ferrer in First Civilization ruins underneath Chichen Itza, where the Templars had set up a working colony. Aveline also obtained half of a Prophecy Disk, and was reunited with her mother Jeanne.[46]

  • William Sleeman acquired the location of the Herat Temple in Afghanistan from using their Precursor box alongside the Koh-i-Noor in the Amritsar Temple. Sleeman accidentally caused the destruction of the Amritsar Temple while shooting at Arbaaz Mir.[52]
  • Arbaaz Mir pursued the Templars to Herat in Afghanistan, where he located and infiltrated the temple but was captured by the Templars. Held prisoner by Alexander Burnes at Katasraj Temple, Arbaaz escaped, retrieved the Precursor box and Koh-i-Noor from the Templars, and was allowed to flee after beating Burnes in a duel.[6]
  • William Sleeman took control of the Summer Palace in Amritsar and held Arbaaz Mir's lover Pyara Kaur prisoner. Arbaaz infiltrated the palace and confronted Sleeman, securing Pyara's safety by trading her for the Precursor box and Koh-i-Noor.   • The Assassin Jacob Frye assassinated the former Templar Maxwell Roth in a burning Alhambra Music Hall, after a short-lived alliance resulted in the near deaths of child labourers.[1]

  • November 7: Nikolai Orelov infiltrated the Winter Palace in Petrograd, tasked by Vladimir Lenin to kill Tsarevich Nicholas II of Russia. After finding out that the Imperial Sceptre in the Palace was a mere replica of the Staff of Eden, Orelov decided to spare the Tsarevich's life.[54]
  • November 15: Nikolai Orelov infiltrated the asylum in Krasnoyarsk to meet Khioniya Guseva. After hearing her account of the splinter's power, he granted her wish to die by killing her with his Hidden Blade.[8]

    • After the Precursor box and Nikolai's shard were activated in conjunction, the consciousness of Shao Jun was transferred from the box to Anastasia. Nikolai planned to bring Anastasia to the Assassins and the pair fled from Yekaterinburg to Kazan, fending off the Templars along the way.[56]
  • September: Nikolai Orelov was betrayed by his friend Leon Trotsky on behalf of the revolution and captured by the Templars. Using Shao Jun's skills, Anastasia saved Nikolai from capture and the two escaped from Kazan by boat.[56]
  • Anastasia was taken by Sergei to meet the Russian Mentor while Nikolai was forced to report to the local bureau. The Assassins intended to extract Shao Jun's memories from Anastasia, which caused Nikolai to betray his brothers and rescue Anastasia.[56]
  • Nikolai saved Anastasia from imprisonment in the Assassins' hideout next to Spasskaya Tower. After Nikolai successfully destroyed a pursuing tank, he met Anastasia in front of Bolshoi Theatre and gave her his wife's forged papers, which she used to flee to Germany under the name "Anna Anderson".[56]
  • Nikolai Orelov, his wife Anna and daughter Nadya, fled Russia using the splinter of the Staff of Eden and settled in the United States.[54]

  • Leila Marino, an employee of Abstergo Industries, allegedly committed suicide. An individual named Neumann was involved in her death, and Marino's file became classified.[14]

  • August 8: Clay Kaczmarek committed suicide in the Animus laboratory in the Abstergo Campus. Using his blood, he painted several cryptic messages in the laboratory,[14] and preserved his consciousness in an artificial intelligence inside the Animus.[4]
  • September 1: Desmond Miles was kidnapped near Washington Square Park in New York City by agents of Abstergo Industries, and was brought to the Abstergo Campus in Rome, Italy.[6]
  • September 2: Desmond Miles was placed inside the Animus by Warren Vidic and Lucy Stillman in the laboratory of the Abstergo Campus and became Subject 17 of the Animus Project, to relive the memories of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.[14]
  • September 7: A team of Assassins attempted to rescue Desmond Miles from Abstergo's Rome facility on Lucy Stillman's request, but ended up being exterminated.[14]
  • September 8: Desmond Miles and Lucy Stillman escaped the Abstergo Campus in Rome,[14] which was staged by Warren Vidic,[53] after Desmond was done reliving Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's memories.[14]
  • September 9: Lucy Stillman and Desmond Miles arrived at an Assassin hideout in Rome, where they met with Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane; Desmond started reliving the memories of Ezio Auditore da Firenze in the Animus 2.0.[2]
  • September 12: A team of Assassins in Whistler, Canada was exterminated by Abstergo agents led by Daniel Cross.[6]
  • September 15: Warren Vidic led an Abstergo attack on the Assassin hideout in Rome. The Assassins managed to escape,[2] but Abstergo retrieved the Animus recordings left behind by Lucy Stillman.[7]
  • September 16: Lucy Stillman's Assassin team arrived at Monteriggioni and set up a headquarters in the Sanctuary beneath the Villa Auditore,[7] after a roadblack in Grosseto prevented them from reaching the Assassin cabin in the Swiss Alps.[6]
  • October 10: Desmond Miles recovered Ezio Auditore da Firenze's Apple of Eden from the Colosseum Vault, where Juno forced him to kill Lucy Stillman,[7] realizing that she would bring the artifact back to the Templars;[3] Desmond entered a coma from shock, and was placed in the Animus after his father William Miles recovered him.[4]
  • October 30: Desmond Miles awoke from his coma, with aid from an AI construct of Clay Kaczmarek inside the Animus,[4] and used the Apple of Eden to enter the Grand Temple with William Miles, Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane an hour later; there, Juno forced him to relive the memories of Haytham Kenway and Ratonhnhaké:ton.[3]
  • November 16: Desmond Miles retrieved a power source for the Grand Temple from an office building in Manhattan, where he met and knocked out Daniel Cross.[3]
  • November 28: An Assassin team led by Harlan Cunningham infiltrated the Abstergo Campus in Rome, killing four hackers trying to track down William Miles' team, and destroyed the facility's servers.[6]
  • November 30: Abstergo's Sigma team, led by Juhani Otso Berg, attacked the Assassin hideout in Florence, which was blown up by the Assassin cell's leader Adriano Maestranzi. Berg and Harlan Cunningham were the only survivors.[6]
  • December 2: Desmond Miles retrieved the second power source for the Grand Temple at a mixed martial arts event in São Paulo, Brazil, where he took it from Daniel Cross.[3]
  • December 12: William Miles was captured by Abstergo's Sigma team led by Juhani Otso Berg in Cairo, Egypt while recovering the third power source for the Grand Temple from the Egyptian Museum.[6]
  • December 14: Desmond Miles killed Warren Vidic and Daniel Cross at the Abstergo Campus in Rome while rescuing William Miles. Vidic's death forced the launch of Eye-Abstergo to be put on hold.[3]
  • December 20: Desmond Miles, William Miles, Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane retrieved the Grand Temple's key from the grave of Connor Davenport in the Davenport Homestead.[3]
  • December 21: Desmond Miles sacrificed himself by touching the Eye, against the wishes of Minerva, saving the world from destruction by the incoming solar flare, though also releasing Juno from imprisonment in the Grand Temple;[3] fifteen hours later, his body was recovered by Abstergo agents.[6]

2013

  • May 21: Gavin Banks of the ship Altair II received William Miles' codex, wherein William had written all his knowledge and named Gavin the new leader of the Assassin Brotherhood.[6]
  • October: MysoreTech employee Jot Soora was assigned to test the Brahman V.R., an adaption of the Animus glass developed by Abstergo Industries for release on the Indian market by MysoreTech; secretly, it extracted the genetic memories of its users.[51]
  • October 29: An unidentified research analyst was assigned by Abstergo Entertainment to explore the memories of Edward Kenway as part of the Sample 17 Project in their Montreal facility.[37]
  • November 3: Jot Soora was abducted by the Assassins Siobhan and Jasdip Dhami in Mumbai, after lying to Siobhan that he was the descendant of Arbaaz Mir; Abstergo raided the compound they were hiding in, resulting in Siobhan's death.[51]
  • November 4:
    • Monima Das, descendant of Arbaaz Mir and Pyara Kaur and fiancée of Jot Soora, and two Assassins drowned in the river after crashing from the Mumbai Pune Expressway amidst an Abstergo attack.[51]
    • Abstergo agents led by Juhani Otso Berg raided the Assassin hideout in the Chor Bazaar in Mumbai, resulting in the death of Dinesh and several Abstergo agents; their captive Jot Soora managed to escape.[51]
  • November 5: The Abstergo Entertainment research analyst hacked the computer of Olivier Garneau, CCO of Abstergo Entertainment, at the request of John Standish and delivered an email conversation about a shareholders meeting in Chicago to Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane.[37]
  • November 18: Abstergo Entertainment detained three employees in the Bunker on suspicions of hacking into company computers. With aid from John, the unidentified research analyst hacked into the facility's server; there, they met Juno, who intended to occupy the analyst's body but explained it was too early.[37]
  • November 26: John Standish, secretly a Sage, was killed by Abstergo Entertainment guards inside the Bunker of their Montreal facility, after having poisoned the unidentified research analyst.[37]
  • December 17: The Assassin crew of the Altair II joined up with the Assassin cell in Osaka, who had taken up the guise of the Yakuza gang Onmoraki-Gumi, under the new leadership of Saeko Mochizuki, following the death of her husband Kenichi Mochizuki after an Abstergo attack.[6]
  • December 25: The body of John Standish was brought to Álvaro Gramática at Abstergo's laboratory in Paris to conduct research for the Phoenix Project.[1]

2014

  • January 21: Melanie Lemay was promoted to the new Chief Creative Officer of Abstergo Entertainment, starting in March, following Olivier Garneau's disappearance.[19]
  • February: The Assassins Harlan Cunningham and Arend Schut stole a Precursor box from an Abstergo Industries facility in Rotterdam. Abstergo's Sigma Team managed to recover the artifact, but the Assassins managed to escape.[22]
  • March 16: The Assassin crew of the Altair II met with Galina Voronina, a member of the Assassin cell in the science city of Protvino, south of Moscow, who revealed that her cell had gone crazy from the Bleeding Effect in the Animus.[6]
  • March 20: Galina Voronina, supported by the crew of the Altair II, exterminated the last members of her cell, including her own sister and mother, who was hooked up to the Animus and connected to Juno.[6]
  • May 7–13: Crewmembers of the Altair II were interrogated in William Miles' bunker in Tromsø, Norway to flush out a spy who had been sending coded messages to the Initiates, a hacker group.[6]
  • May: Juhani Otso Berg travelled to Essen, Germany to find the Ankh of Isis. Believing the lead to be a dead end, Berg abandoned the search and left for Cuba.[22]
  • May 23: Eric Cooper and Stephanie Chiu were discovered to be Initiate spies by the Assassins, and the Assassins tried to form an alliance with the Initiates.[6]
  • May 25–30: Juhani Otso Berg led a Templar expedition in Jamaica to find the Observatory. After several days of digging, Berg concluded that the temple suffered a catastrophic collapse in the 18th century and was deliberately buried by the Assassins.[19]
  • June 16: Shaun Hastings sent a message to members of the Initiates, imploring them to work with the Assassins.[6]
  • October 13: A team of Assassins led by Gavin Banks destroyed the Abstergo Industries laboratory in Paris, destroying both John Standish' body[22] and the original Shroud of Eden.[1] Sigma Team followed the Assassins to La Rochelle, where the Assassins escaped on the Altair II.[22]
  • November:
    • Abstergo Entertainment's Helix servers were struck by a virus. Violet da Costa was assigned to help cleanse the company's systems. She was later joined by her supervisor, Juhani Otso Berg, who tasked a research analyst with reliving the memories of Shay Cormac.[22]
    • The research analyst broadcast a video of Shay Cormac killing Assassins to the Brotherhood's network on Berg's orders, and was offered the choice to join the Templar Order or be killed by Melanie Lemay, Violet da Costa and Berg.[22]
    • The Assassins Bishop and Shaun Hastings employed the aid of a new Helix initiate to find the remains of the Sage François-Thomas Germain ahead of Abstergo, by having him explore the memories of Arno Dorian.[19]

2015

  • Juhani Otso Berg was ordered to bring the Templars' Precursor box to Dr. Álvaro Gramática's secret laboratory by Laetitia England for experimentation in the Phoenix Project.[56]
  • October 4: The son of Desmond Miles, a Sage, was brought to an Abstergo clinic in New York by his mother, leading to Abstergo discovering his lineage.[1]
  • October 24: Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane ambushed Isabelle Ardant in her London office, but were forced to flee due to the intervention of Juhani Otso Berg and Violet da Costa.[1]
  • October:
    • Bishop tasked an Initiate with exploring the memories of Jacob and Evie Frye to discover the location of a Shroud of Eden to secure it before the Templars did. Through the exploration of their memories, the Assassins discovered its location in the Buckingham Palace vault.[1]
    • The Templars Isabelle Ardant, Otso Berg and Violet da Costa and Assassins Shaun Hastings, Rebecca Crane and Galina Voronina engaged in a fight in the Buckingham Palace vault. Ardant was killed by Shaun, and Rebecca was shot by Violet, forcing the Assassins to flee.[1]
    • Violet da Costa delivered the Shroud of Eden to Álvaro Gramática to aid him in the Phoenix Project, as part of a secret plot orchestrated by Juno.[1]
  • December:
    • William Miles enacted the Rooftop Garden Protocol, shutting down all communications on the Assassins' network and with the Initiates.[55]
    • Charlotte de la Cruz was saved by the Assassins Xavier Chen and Galina Voronina from an attack by Templar agents, and brought to their hideout in the Salton Sea.[38]
    • Based on intelligence delivered by Joseph, an Assassin suspected of being a traitor, Xavier Chen convinced Charlotte de la Cruz to relive the memories of her ancestor Tom Stoddard through an Animus to acquire information on a Piece of Eden.[38]
    • Xavier Chen's team arrived at the Treo Tea head office, a front of Abstergo, to save Joseph, trusting his continued allegiance based on Stoddard's memories. As Xavier and Galina Vornina entered the office, Charlotte de la Cruz discovered Joseph's treachery upon further exploration in the Animus.[41]
    • Xavier Chen was killed by Joseph for causing the death of his lover Christian, and Galina Voronina was injured. Joseph killed several Templars including Didier Hawking in an explosion out of duty. Charlotte rescued Galina from attacking Templar guards, and all Assassins managed to escape.[63]

2016

  • October 21: The Abstergo Foundation staged the public execution of Callum Lynch for the murder of a pimp, and secretly transferred him to their facility in Madrid to use his genetic memories to locate Aguilar de Nerha's Apple of Eden.[61]
