Apparently the big bad templar of the game is William Henry Sleeman, a british soldier involved in the eradication of the Thugs around the time of the game. Could the thugs being the indian iteration of the Assassins ??
I assume you mean the Thuggees. I suppose they could be the Assassin Brotherhood, as they were historically assassins. And their bad reputation could be thanks to the Templars.

This reminds me that I still need to play Chronicles. I'm not really feeling motiviated at the moment, though. With Arkham Knight coming out soon & me still having Bloodborne to play, I've got other things to do.
With the recent updating of Uplay concerning the objectives of ACC: India, I have the feeling that the game will be released during the Gamescon.
Also, apparently the artifact in possession of Sleeman is the Koh-I-Noor, wasn't the precursor box supposedly the link between the three Chronicles games ? I wonder what is the plot linking the three games together ?
The Koh-I-Noor and the Precursor Box could both be in ACC India.
I posted a comment saying that I thought the Precursor box would be the link between the games.
If it's released during Gamescom that'd be a nice surprise, but bear in mind that the achievements for Chronicles: China were released three weeks early.

Was he Adopted? I saw that on his Wiki article like a month ago, but it's not there anymore. I was under the impression he was his biological son. It also helps continue the chain to his modern decendant cause now Evies in there too.

There was some inconsistent information coming from Ubisoft about this prior to Syndicate's official release, that's why we referred to him as the "adopted son" of Henry Green. However, since Syndicate has come out, it's been confirmed Henry is Arbaaz Mir and Pyara's biological son.
