Seals and keys

Just wondering, in the ACR commented walkthrough, the commentator mentions that Ezio is on his search for the keys of Altaïr in order to unlock the hidden library. Are the seals the keys (which I assume)? If so, is the library a metaphor for the memories or is the unknown artifact actually hidden in a library in Masyaf? StPerkele 13:49, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

Number of Seals

I was curious as to how many Seals there actually are. Every time a dev says "5 Seals" they also include "Ezio is hunting for..." We know there will be 4 in Constantinople and we assume the last one is in Cappadocia, but now I'm confused by the Gamescom demo. With the Seal Ezio collected from Leandros, that equals 6. Any thoughts?

Well, the fifth was known to be in Templar hands, so now we know it was - specifically - in Leandros'. Ezio might have chased him through a number of locations. =GuardDog 04:39, August 20, 2011 (UTC)

So there are 3 Seals in Constantinople, the last one being moved to Cappadocia before Ezio can get ahold of it. Stormbeast 20:37, August 24, 2011 (UTC)

Possible Renaming

Should this page be renamed 'Masyaf Keys' or 'Keys of Masyaf'? Because that's how the game refers to them as. Stormbeast 18:15, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

New Apple

PoE?

They use the tech. They were found, not made. They look the part. The apple directed to them. In it's most basest, PoEs are any tech of those who came before. I don't see: why not these. 145.100.125.133 19:58, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

So you're saying that Minerva's headpiece is a PoE simply because it was fashioned by the First Civilisation? The glass-walled building seen in "The Truth" video is a PoE because it was built by the First Cizilisation? Article merge proposal

I propose merging the information from here with the relevant section in the Memory Seals article and subsequently deleting this one, since they both cover the same thing, the Seals are infact meant primary for reliving memories, rather than being simply keys to the library, and the other article would benefit from merging the info.

1. I think the purpose of these particular Memory Seals are, regardless of any memory collection capabilities, to act as keys for Altair's library. Whilst I do not doubt Altair intentionally imprinted his memories upon each Key, the distinct difference in their purpose is enough to warrant separate articles. --Jasca Ducato _{Council Chamber} ^{Assassination record} 11:37, October 9, 2012 (UTC)

Five or Six

I've been reading this article and it bothers me a touch that the image of the final seal is shown (Altair's last memory) but it isn't counted as a key. I feel that despite it not being needed to open the library door it should be counted as a key. Hutchy01 (talk) 17:38, January 27, 2015 (UTC)

Altaïr recovered 6 Memory Seals and used 5 of them as the keys to the locks of his "library". Those used as the keys are the "Masyaf Keys", and the sixth remains a regular Memory Seal that Altaïr imprinted his last memory on to depict the location of the Apple he possessed. Additional idea. The sixth seal could be counted even though it didn't open the door it did reveal the location of the apple which was the whole point of the door and library Hutchy01 (talk) 22:55, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
