Photo of real life Masyaf[]

I found it on Wikipedia and thought it would be a good addition to this page. Ghost Leader 21:48, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, but we don't include real-life images on our pages. Please refer to our Image policy for more information. Nesty Contact me! 21:50, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Masyaf infobox picture[]

I say we should put my image cause the angle of the other pic is wrong and also not very high quality

But mine is also at day and on night the picture is not so epic

I say my image is bette rEzioLover 09:51, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Your image does not show Masyaf from the front, so I vote for the current one. Nesty Contact me! 09:56, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

the main reason of my pic that it is in day not night

and i think mine is more epic, also ripped from the game itself EzioLover 09:58, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Still, your image is from the back, meaning it does not provide a good picture of Masyaf. If you get a similar image from the front of Masyaf, I'll be the first to agree that it is better. Nesty Contact me! 10:00, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Dude i ripped it from the save selection menu EzioLover 10:02, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Dude, I'm not a dude.... And I don't care where you got the image, it's from Masyaf's back. It would be the same of uploading a high-quality image of the back of a church. It's nice for in the gallery, but not as the main image of the article. Nesty Contact me! 10:25, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

I vote for the one facing the front, sure, it does look epic but it's the back of the Fortress, whereas the other one, though not as epic is from the Front, the part of the castle which should be seen on the article infobox. So I vote Front. --Teller Words, On my Screen :O 10:30, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Front. Also, it does not matter if the image isn't high resolution, it has proper dimensions for a 250px resize. Also, your images aren't sourced according to our image policy. So you either license and source them appropriately or I add a delete tag.. --Vatsa (talkGentek) 10:47, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

that is my problem

i dont know how to source uploaded images EzioLover 10:55, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Then either learn it by reading the Image policy, or don't upload images in the first place. Images that are not sourced will be deleted, so uploading unsourced images is useless. Nesty Contact me! 10:57, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Throwing Knives[]

How do you get more throwing knives when you return to Masyaf? I keep going to the fortress, but every time I leave I still have no throwing knives. Is there someting you have to do? (Toolen (talk) 23:16, March 22, 2013 (UTC))

Masiyaf real location in new world[]

Hi guys, im just confused right now. I think that masiyaf is located in iran. The alamoot mountains. If u read irans history during end of safaviye (right before genghis khan attack) in eastern iran there was a guild in moutains called hashashins (just replace s with sh and add h before word assassins). Their mentor was hassan sabah aka al mualim in the history. Their job was to kill famous people and in return they took some drugs (marcopolo). If u read history u see the nine were included in the killed list. Also almualim had a partner called alta^er.

Borders change over time. Edit: Although, Ubisoft could have just used it as inspiration, and based their Masyaf in Syria. Slate Vesper (talk) 22:12, December 1, 2013 (UTC)
Masyaf has always been in Syria (or those nations that occupied the same territory before Syria's founding). It has certainly never been in Iran. That said, the fortress of Alamut is in Iran and was, much like Masyaf, controlled by the Hashshashin during the Third Crusades. This is something openly acknowledged in the series. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 22:20, December 1, 2013 (UTC)
so ubisoft has mistakes in the game. The hashashins first headquarter was alamut but they moved to masyaf in 1256 after mongols attacks.
No. Also, that's not what I said. I said the occupied Masyaf AND Alamut simultaneously (i.e. at the same time). Historically, they controlled Alamut from 1090, and Masyaf from 1141. They later lost both to the Mongols in 1256-57. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 21:36, December 2, 2013 (UTC)
