ACO[]

Peeps, how are we going to do horse and other mount info from ACO? Piggy bagging all that to this article seems too much. Perhaps create a page called "Mount (ACO)" and offload everything there, including chariots and camels? I'm still a noob here so I don't want to make this decision on my own. SuperNull (talk) 21:54, October 15, 2017 (UTC)

We'll do it the same way as we have done with Swords and other such articles. Slate Vesper (talk) 22:05, October 15, 2017 (UTC)
You mean create a page for every single mount and have the "Horse", "Camel" and "Chariot" articles link to them, instead of creating one page with all of them like the outfits? It doens't seem like a good idea to me as there is not much info about any individual mount, but lots to say about the mount system in general. But all right, you are the boss around here I guess... SuperNull (talk) 22:20, October 15, 2017 (UTC)
Since outfits have no gameplay purpose outside of being cosmetic, there are no attributes to note down for them, like you would expect from a sword or other item with cause to chronicle statistics. Given that Ubisoft are looking to give mounts out as part of DLC packs, there will no doubt be some statistics applied to each breed, and as such they will get pages of their own. If not however, they will follow in the same vein as the outfits page that each game gets. Slate Vesper (talk) 22:25, October 15, 2017 (UTC)

Archers Attacking blending riders (Kingdom)[]

(Okay this is my first action in any Wiki page, so bare with me if i do it wrong.)

In the article it has been written that the guards do not attack you if your in blend.

But i have experienced that in kingdom (assassins creed 1) if you pass a archers tower while blending the archers will engage you.

I don't remember they did first time i played though, but now i cant blend pass a archers tower without being engaged.

Could it be a bug?

In any case i think the matter should be mentioned

Mr.Pheenox 19:38, June 5, 2010 (UTC)

Its nearly definitely not a bug they (Ubisoft) probably kept it in to make the game more...challenging or there is a small chance that Ubi accidentally left it in and the archers think the ground is like a...roof like in the cities. Welcome to the Wiki! :D. Oh and btw have you played AC2?

Auditor(e) 20:07, June 5, 2010 (UTC)

Thx.

That with the archers thinking the floor is a roof.. dunno about that, because they are placed in the wood towers. But it could be possible that the wood towers doesn't count as buildings. It could also be because they simply have a better overview and there for recognizes you from the crowd... theres many possibilities.

And to answerer the Assassins Creed 2 question, i can say "30 feathers from 100% completion" so i'm pretty close to beat the game, also i'm very active on the Assassins creed forum but i must say i'm more into AC 1 then two... because i have only played AC 2 through one time. and i have recently completed the AC 1 again.

Mr.Pheenox 13:55, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Okay well i guess the roof thing was a bit of a longshot. 30 feathers away from completion when I was 30 feathers i just concentrated on finding them i went on a mad rush took me about 2 hours and then i discovered the feather maps on some game site it was annoying btw whats your forum name?

Auditor(e) 19:00, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

My forum name is Pheenox :) Tell me if there are more subjects on the discussion page, how do you then know if you reply to the correct one?

Mr.Pheenox 19:03, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Well as this topic is at the bottom and most recent i just type and it automatically goes into the newest category but if another exists beneath it i press edit page or the edit button next to the topic Auditor(e) 19:16, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure whoever said it was a glitch was right. I think the archers DO think it is a roof because if you walk past them they will tell you "this place is forbidden".

Fail[]

If you call the horse when in the Romulus crypt place it will come. It mysteriously got up the wall.83.108.12.41 17:38, January 12, 2011 (UTC)

Incorrect word usage[]

In the beginning paragraph it is said that They are a necessity when passing through large areas...., the use of the word necessity is incorrect as it denotes an absolute, which is incorrect as you can just as easily pass through such areas on foot. Should this be changed?... (sorry to ask but I am on a warning and cannot edit) Kaloneous 13:56, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

Pretty sure you can edit, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to post this message. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 14:36, July 3, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, sorry for the mistake, but still I don't want to cause the wiki staff anymore annoyance. I am going to familarize myself with wiki policies and editing policies before I make any more contributions to the wiki. If anyone else feels that this sentence needs restructuring then I have the suggestion made here. Thanks for responding and letting me know. Kaloneous 14:45, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

Rouncey vs. Jennet[]

I know that the Animus database SAYS that the Jennet is the fastest horse and, logically, it should be since it has to carry the least weight. However I am pretty certain that the Rouncey is fastest for a few reasons:

  • In the last thief mission where you chase the three bandits on horses (them on Jennets) if you try to catch them on a Jennet or a Destrier it is almost impossible to catch more than one, whereas on a Rouncey you CAN catch up to them and usually can kill two of the bandits before the end rather than one.
  • On one on the hills of Rome with a treasure chest and a flag which you can only enter by jumping the broken bridge on a horse I have noticed you can only jump it on a Roncey, as can the Guards.
  • If a guard tries to chase you while he's on a horse you will be able to outrun him a lot faster on a Rouncey than any other horse.

List of Horses (Odyssey)[]

I noticed someone added a list of the Phobos skins in the game on this page, whilst the full list is already on the Phobos page. Since it's not separate mounts but actually just skins for the mount (which will always be Phobos) I don't really see a need to have the same list on both pages. Also the header "Horses" is imho pretty bad as the page is already name Horse. Maybe the header would be better off being named "Unique horses" or "Named horses" or whatever. What do others think? Correction for appearances[]

I've made a correction under the section "Appearances". It previously stated that horses were in Black Flag and Rouge, even though in the Triva statment contradicts that, as well as looking up online forums that horses did not exist in any of those games. I removed them from the list.

AC: Valhalla Mounts[]

I cannot for the life of me find a page dedicated to the various mount/mount skins for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Phobos (AC: Odyssey) has his own page, and some of the various mounts you can acquire in Assassin's Creed: Origins are listed on this page, but I can find no equivalent page for Eivor's mounts. Synin has a page detailing both her and her various skins, but I was wondering if I'm an idiot that simply can't find it, or if it doesn't exist. unsigned comment by LimitlessMind127 (talk · contr) 21:20, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

No, you're not imagining it. The page for does not exist because Eivor's animal companion is not named. Any Valhalla skins would have to be on the main page here, like the ones for Bayek's also-unnamed mount. – Darman (talk) 21:40, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
