Can someone fix up the infobox? It keeps changing 'Spanish Inquisition' to {{{name}}}. :S Thief talk 07:10, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

okay, fixed ;D - SilverSummoner 07:17, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! Thief talk 11:58, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

Please don't delete my work, Edit

This is an event in-game, thats why it is based on fictional characters aswell as historical. If you want to add buisness like that go to a normal Wikipedia where there are no fictional characters. Don't delete my work. >:( Thief talk Wiki Policy! 22:34, July 25, 2010 (UTC)

  • I deleted your work because it was a waste of time and effort. This is supposed to be an article about the Spanish Inquisition, not an over-long summary of events in Assassin's Creed II: Discovery. That sort of information goes in the article about the game itself. So there. Don't get all pissy with me just because I deleted a bunch of excessive material that was in the wrong place. 00:08, July 26, 2010 (UTC)
  • That said, I am sorry for deleting all that work. I'm sure it took a long time to write it, but again, unless you want to put it under Assassin's Creed II: Discovery, it was pretty much pointless. 00:08, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

It is supposed to be about the events of AC: Discovery. Not the historical Spanish Inquisiton. Maybe I should change the name, because this article was named after the mission (I didn't name it, FYI), i'll ask around.

After I change the name, then you can create a historical and accurate page about the Inquisition. Okay? :D

Thief talk Wiki Policy! 05:41, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

  • Nope. There's already a page for that. Put your info there. This is supposed to be about a semi-fictional version of the historical Spanish Inquisition. Which is presumably why it was titled Spanish Inquisition. Okay? :P 17:00, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

Ugh. No. That is a shorter version of what I have here, this is a wiki timeline project which is supposed to be like that summary, but expanded heavily.

Check out these other Wiki Projects Timeline articles;

Auditore Execution

The Birth of an Assassin

The Wiki Project is basically converting the game to words. :) Thief talk Wiki Policy! 22:26, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, the article is now renamed to match game events, like the rest of the other Wikiprojects. Now feel free to create your own historical Spanish Inquisition page. :) Thief talk Wiki Policy! 22:35, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

Why Sailing to Spain? Edit

I thought the damn thing happened on Spain. What gives? WarClownWanna Talk? 14:37, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Well there was a few.. problems with the other title and I am still in the process of thinking of another name, you have any ideas for a permanent name? Thief talk Wiki Policy! 14:41, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Spanish Inquisition? Does that sounds familiar? - Duelisttri 14:45, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

>.<, Ugh, that was the previous name and it had problems with this event article. Spanish Inquisition (the tribunal) is now here; Spanish Inquisition (tribunal) Thief talk Wiki Policy! 14:47, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

So this one doesn't have the part "tribunal". There, problem solved! - Duelisttri 14:52, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Damn Edit Conflict >:(

I'm not going to say Hunt on Spain because I think Hunt is being overused here lately (Hunt for the Nine, Hunt on Cyprus, Hunt on Venice) It depends if all of the events are going to be detailed in this article only. Is it? WarClownWanna Talk? 14:55, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

@Duel, Um... no. Sorry.

@War, what do you think about - Search for the Spaniard or something. :S Thief talk Wiki Policy! 15:02, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Anyway if you think of something feel free to change it, i'm going offline. :D Thief talk Wiki Policy! 15:04, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

I'd have to say it here before doing so. D made it clear to discuss name changes before moving the article. Also, I have to go offline too, gonna go play my new game (if you really must know, it's Fallout 3 :D) by the time I log in again, I'll probably have a good name in mind :D WarClownWanna Talk? 15:09, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

I have just thought of a name: Brothers in Spain. If it sounds cool, please move the article after you done will Fallout 3. - Duelisttri 16:57, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Heh, Fallout 3. I played that ages ago. Of course on the PC with mods (You can nuke towns whenever you feel like it:D).

Did you kill the overseer or persuade him? (Or both in my case :D) Thief talk Wiki Policy! 00:26, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

@ Duel, I don't think that exact name could work, but maybe we could just have a normal name perhaps; 'Restoration of the Spanish Assassins Guild', that sounds adequate :D Thief talk Wiki Policy! 00:26, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

@Thief: I'm playing Mr. goody-two-shoes, so I let him live :P
As for the title, looking at the article itself, seeing that Borgia wants all of the Spanish Assassins dead, how about The Spaniard's Conquest? Like it? WarClownWanna Talk? 03:45, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Pretty good, maybe something more deadlier... like The Spaniard's Massacre or something. This is frustrating. Maybe we should just go with the overused Hunt on Spain. lol. :S Thief talk Wiki Policy! 05:25, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe we should ask for other opinions....Maybe. WarClownWanna Talk? 05:50, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

I thought of a name, which is also a pun. Took me long enough, didn't it? XD --THIEF 06:00, March 28, 2011 (UTC)
Ok now we need to change the Sailing to Spain in the Infobox to Discovery in Spain. Problem is, when I try to do that its coming out as {{{}}} so could somebody fix that? Subject 12 06:12, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

Rename and revampEdit

The Inquisition is relevant enough, but the current article does not focus on either of that. Will this article be renamed and revamped or will a new one be created? -- Master Sima Yi 10:11, May 2, 2012 (UTC)

What to do with this article Edit

I see that this article seems to be just an in-universe summary of the plot of Discovery. This doesn't really make much sense from an in-universe perspective in terms of organization, unless the topic is "Ezio's time in Spain". "Discovery in Spain" is certainly not an appropriate title. What did Ezio discover?

My proposal is to rename this article to "Mission to Spain" (as Wookieepedia would do though I disagree with it here) or something along those lines. In any case, it should pose the topic as covering Ezio's mission to rescue the Spanish Assassins from the Inquisition. This subject might be merged with the article on the Spanish Inquisition instead, but since we already have this, I think it is fine to leave it but as an article devoted to Ezio's mission.

His adventure in Granada should be merged into a new article titled Granada War which we really need to have anyways since so many articles are referencing it especially in light of the new movie. Since Ezio's adventure in Granada essentially revolved around ending the war and mediating the peace, it doesn't need its own article. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 14:13, January 23, 2017 (UTC)

Lol. Omg guys.
"As Ezio walked through the streets of Barcelona, he noticed that the guards on duty seemed to be novices.
Totally imagined. There's nothing in the game to imply that Ezio thought this about the guards he noticed.
"Ezio set out to murder the two targets Antonio had mentioned, suspecting that at least one of them knew the current location of the captured Assassins. "
No-no-no! >_< The two Antonio mentioned were contacts to provide Ezio with the location of the Assassin's guild.
"On his way, Ezio encountered a civilian who stated nothing more than the location of a secret entrance, before walking away. Ezio trusted that the civilian was an ally, likely a thief or an Assassin."
This random civilian is one of the two contacts that Antonio mentioned. Nor did he walk away. He just stands there. Also Ezio trusts him because he's not a random civilian, but a contact.
I know bringing this up is unnecessary since I'm going to correct it anyways, but the extent of factual errors in this article is just too amusing not to point out. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 10:51, January 27, 2017 (UTC)

Renamed to "Mission to Aragon" Edit

I covered this just in the post above, but I want to reiterate it more clearly and in its own section now that I've finished the revamp (except for the images).

"Discovery in Spain" was a horrendous name because what did Ezio discover in Spain? ...That the Templars were behind the Inquisitions' arrests of Assassins...? The name stems from the video game's name, which itself just refers to Ezio's tangential contribution to Christopher Columbus's first voyage and has nothing to do with the subject of this article.

So, I have renamed it to "Mission to Aragon", but I do not like this name. I have only chosen this because I hail from Wookieepedia, where this is a standard for mission articles. Personally, I find it vague and unspecific. However, I think that "Rescue of Spanish Assassins", which I did consider, and is more descriptive of the mission, is just as unspecific. I just keep thinking in my head that in-universe, there must've been many "missions to Aragon" and many "missions to rescue Spanish Assassins". Perhaps the most accurate would then be "Ezio Auditore's Mission to Rescue the Spanish Assassins", but this is obviously far too long.

Oh yes, I chose "Mission to Aragon" over "Mission to Spain" because it is slightly more specific. I find it funny that Ezio meant to rescue all the Spanish Assassins, but only went to two cities in Aragon, saved 6 Assassins, then said he had saved them all... what about the entire Crown of Castile?

I welcome you all to think of a better name to move this to if you can. :) Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 19:06, January 28, 2017 (UTC)
