PC release date confirmation

PC release date is October 30 on the amazon preorder site. (Arabian411269 (talk) 22:42, August 2, 2012 (UTC))

Ubisoft releasing the PC version a day earlier than the consoles? What universe does this amazon exist? --70px-SigN1v.png (30px-SigT1v.png35px-SigG1v.png) 03:17, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
Lol. Totally get your point (though it pains me) (Arabian411269 (talk) 13:50, August 3, 2012 (UTC))
isnt the US release the 30th? amazon has probably just got that date as tentative and it would change if they get more info. Ægritudo Talk 05:30, August 3, 2012
I doubt they'll just change it. Any change in delivery dates is a breach of contract unless they have a disclaimer or something. (Arabian411269 (talk) 13:50, August 3, 2012 (UTC))
any date(or other info for that mater) that they have for preorders/unreleased product is subject to change, if ubi pushes back the release date this change will reflect on the amazon page, they will garantee the price you pay wont go up on your preorder tho. New Screenshots

I found these new screenshots on kotaku. (Arabian411269 (talk) 12:16, August 15, 2012 (UTC))

Connor Killing Continental Soldier

Should we put them In AC 3 page, and have you sourced them??AnsweratioN Coffee Maybe?Wisdom words 12:27, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

They're good quality images so I don't see why not. Source them and you're good to go. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 13:14, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

none of these three are sourced, do they really add anything to the article? should also be asked before adding them. Ægritudo Talk 13:15, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

I did a bit of digging and sourced the images. Thanks for noting they were from kotaku, made the whole thing a lot easier. We can go ahead and use them for the articles now, seeing as they are of good quality and could be useful for certain sections. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 13:47, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Glad I could help. (Arabian411269 (talk) 14:16, August 15, 2012 (UTC))

Criticisms

Connorstabbing

So I was looking through the Criticisms section and I noticed there's only room for one image there (otherwise it looks bad). Now I'm wondering, which image would be better suited for the section? We could go with Connor assassinating a Continental (pictured on the section above) to show the outcome, or we could go with him killing Redcoats (currently used, pictured on the right), showing the cause. What does everyone else think? ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 08:11, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

EDIT: I hope you guys don't mind I changed this part to a vote of sorts. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 14:03, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

Continental

  1. I say put the one where he kills a Continental soldier. The Redcoat picture reinforces the rumor and misrepresents the game since almost EVER other picture on the wikia shows him killing Redcoats. Plus it looks better, just sayin. (Arabian411269 (talk) 13:30, August 17, 2012 (UTC)).
  2. Agree we shuld take the one where he kills a continental solider.--ACsenior (talk) 13:43, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  3. I'm voting here because most other images show Redcoat killing, and it would show the change brought about by the criticism. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 14:03, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  4. I say continental cause if we make it seem that the rumors are true then less people will want to play, and if its decided to not put the picture on that specific section lets put an assinated continental pic somewhere on the page. (Mullac09) 5:00, August 17, 2012
    1. We aren't advertising the game. The Crimson Eagle (talk) 14:58, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
    2. Made a mistake sorry its (Mullac09) 5:05 August 17, 2012

Loyalist

  1. I would go the other way and say leave the redcoats, simply because it does display the subject of criticism. couldnt they both be displayed if the existing image and the new one were displayed smaller? Ægritudo Talk 13:47, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Yeah. It doesn't fit the "Criticisms" topic unless you show one exclusively with Red-coat killing. Fairy Tail Grand Master<F.T.G.M. >
  3. Keep the Loyalist pic, but add some text saying that they did show some Americans being killed, finally. Why so serious? (talk) 14:58, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  4. The rumors, sad to say, are true. There is a whole lot of British-killing in this game and hardly any Americans falling under Connor's knife. The Redcoat picture is an honest portrayal of what the game contains.173.79.68.115 17:25, November 10, 2012 (UTC)
You kill mostly Redcoats, it's true, but this game is NOT Pro-American in the slightest. That's why I think this section is unnecessary now. 134.53.112.83 03:22, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

Comments

  1. How about both, but in a slideshow. --ACsenior (talk) 13:56, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Putting both would of course be better. Just reword the paragraphs to get it to look right. (Arabian411269 (talk) 14:00, August 17, 2012 (UTC))
  3. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought votes had to be cleared with admins first and then allowing them to oversee and apply changes when the vote is over. Also, I thought all votes were to be kept to the forums area for ACIII discussion rather than the article's talk section. -- KaloneousHelpDesk 14:16, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Hmm... I didn't know that. It started as a discussion but when I saw people had varying opinions and input, I thought a vote of sorts would be a good idea. Also, this seemed quite minor to warrant a separate forum page. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 14:20, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  5. Well it's here now, I'm just worried it will turn into another argument like we have witness numerous times about this subjects hence an admin to adjudicate would be a good idea in my opinion. -- KaloneousHelpDesk 14:26, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
  6. And I don't really see why the area cannot have two pics in the first all..put the new pic in the right hand side of the last paragraph [[File:Connor_Killing_Continental_Soldier.jpg|right|thumb|200px]]..also change the other pic to 200px..--OdranoellutaTalkSig.png 15:11, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

Is the criticism section even needed anymore? I mean, we've seen him kill plenty of colonists now. It's outdated. 71.65.74.137 21:52, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

What about Connor killing a Continental with a British musket wielder? I knoww it would probably be like the Ottomans and the Byzantines, but still. Ezio Auditore 1459 (talk) 00:48, September 12, 2012 (UTC)

Will you add new characters to the Multiplayers?

Dear Assassin's Creed Editors,

My name is Sean Wolf and i wanted to ask if you were gonna add different characters in the Multiplayer Game?

Because I have pretty cool ideas for characters that you could use. Like different assassins with good storys behind them, what weapons they could use, and names for them I think some of my ideas would possibly get more buyers Assassin's Creed III. If your not interested it's okay... atleast you read this Letter.

Sincerly,

Sean Wolf

Ps. If you are iterested in some ideas my email is seanwolf97@hotmail.com

This wiki is made by FANS. The staff stay in close contact with Ubi, but we are NOT Ubisoft. You can discuss possible MP characters in the Forums. The AC3 page is updated frequently and includes an up-to-date list of MP characters. ThatRandomUser ~Lair of Randomness (Enter at own risk) 14:15, September 21, 2012 (UTC)

Homestead

Why is there no info on homestead in the article. From the sounds of it it will be an important piece of gameplay and quests/storyline

Because we haven't got around to it yet. Also, sign your posts next time with ~~~~. Slate Vesper (talk) 22:33, September 24, 2012 (UTC)

AnvilNext

I read through the section, and near the end it talks about the maximum number of soldiers that can be in the battle at once. Well according the the Inside Assassin's Creed III videos, the number is higher but not totally comfirmed. The approximate bit was "Two and a half thousand characters on the screen at any one time" wich was said by Gabe in Episode one during the new engine section. I don't know if anyone wants to update that, but I just figured I would put it out there just in case. 74.196.162.121 05:57, October 8, 2012 (UTC)

Edit: They say that AnvilNext can be the most amazing software engine for ACIII yet the two and a half thousand soldiers can be exaggeration, either underestimated or overestimated. However, Ubisoft haven't fully comfirmed it yet. We will have to just wait and see until this great game comes out or Ubisoft officially announces it.Soulja-of-Bats (talk) 22:25, October 22, 2012 (UTC)

Would say it was a very exaggerated claim given the NPC drop in issues just walking down a street in Boston. Ombra Lupo (talk) 21:18, November 6, 2012 (UTC)

New Multiplayer Trailer

Alright, doesn't seem as though anyone has beat me to it. While on YouTube, I across this So I figure... anyone who knows how to add videos... Go ahead and do it. Supreme Master AssassinO Mentoras 16:19, October 16, 2012 (UTC)

First mention

Should it be mentioned somewhere that first hints at the location being the American Revolution were dropped in Brotherhood? Besides the fact Shaun mentions Phrygian Cap and Masonic eye, which come together on Declaration of Independence, those two symbols are constant on either side of Desmond as he struggles with Juno's control, dropping further hints. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 19:46, October 16, 2012 (UTC)

Could be mentioned in the trivia section for the Brotherhood article? Supreme Master AssassinO Mentoras 19:58, October 16, 2012 (UTC)

Bumping this one. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 01:25, May 1, 2013 (UTC)

Definitely worth a trivia mention on either AC3's or Brotherhood's articles. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 06:58, May 1, 2013 (UTC)

New Video

I found this new video on youtube, it appears to be a recap of what has gone so far in the series. You can add it to videos of ACIII if you want.

Why no updates?

So far, there have been no updates on AC3 on the wiki at all, despite the fact it came out 5 days ago. DarkSaphire24 (talk) 20:16, November 3, 2012 (UTC)

5 days ago for you maybe. We're keeping the updates sporadic, so the PC people who still wait for the release don't have to avoid spoilers. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 21:26, November 3, 2012 (UTC)

Is anyone else having a lot of glitches during gameplay? Maybe it's just because the game has so many stuff, it's bound to have a couple of setbacks. SpiderSnoo (talk) 20:41, November 3, 2012 (UTC)

Connor's hood after game's completion

After beating the game, I enjoy free roaming the world and doing side missions, though Connor's hood never gets put up. It bugs me because I enjoy feeling like an assassin, not a brute mohawk mercenary. Is there anyway to fix this?XV DEaD ShOT xV Leave me a message! 19:25, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

Release date?

The release date under "Incoming" on the main page isn't correct. It says that it's already released, but the release date for PC is 20.10.2012? (or 10.20.2012)5.39.149.114 06:33, November 18, 2012 (UTC)

Do you think the person Haytham killed in the begining of the game was his dad? Or maybe his old master? I'd like to hear other peoples opinions on who it was. 12.198.157.135 22:29, November 20, 2012 (UTC)Novadragon13

New Info Someone ?

I think the info on the "Other" concerning the puzzles and platforming missions should be updated to the Pivots and the Captain Kidd missions. I'd do it, but I'd rather someone professionaly do it, with good language and links, references, etc. Anyone care to do so ?

Problems with transporting from Sequence 7 to Sequence 8 (New York)

I have completed sequence 7. Now I am back at the house and should be traveling to New York. Tried to go Harbor Master and select New York on the map but nothing happens. How do I get to New York? What am I missing? Can someone help me please?

Thank you

Well, this should've gone on the forums under the category of "Game Help" but I'll try and answer your concern anyway.  Have you tried travelling to New York manually instead of relying on the fast travel via Harbormaster?

Eh?

"There will also be puzzles similar to the Glyphs, though they will not be given by Subject 16" - What does this even mean? As long as I know there is no glyph in the game, and the underground puzzle is far from a glyph. {{SUBST:User:Finchelfanno1/Sig|11:26 am,Feb/4/13}}

Tenses

This article needs to be updated to the right tense. At the moment it's still written as if the game is upcoming. Could be a decent sized job, so if no one does it soon, I'll do my best when I get time. -- Lyco499 (talk) 01:38, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

Epilogue?

Can someone please explain to me this line from the Assassins Creed III article on wikipedia?:

Following this [Connor's epilogue], a modern-day voiceover can be heard directing the listener to locate a number of 'pivot points' that have been spread out across the memories' graphical representation of the Colonial America. Once collected, the voiceover returns to congratulate, and informs that they have now connected to the cloud.

(by the way, I didn't play the game, but I dont care about being spoiled)

What does that mean!? Does it really happen in the game!? If so, why isn't it mentioned in the article here? Someone please enlight me.   Allfictions (talk) 01:43, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

It does; but exactly how relevant is it to the overall article? --Crimson Knight Intercom 00:45, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Doesn't this pave the way to ACIV? It's really relevant then.   Allfictions (talk) 01:43, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Then add it yourself. And how do we know it paves the way for Black Flag? --Crimson Knight Intercom 01:49, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
That's exactly my point. I want to know if more people think like me before making any change that might bring disagreement among wiki contributors. I want to be absolutely sure that my change would make sense.   Allfictions (talk) 23:07, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
Without sounding presumptuous, I think I can get where Allfictions is getting at. A cloud just means basically the information is uploaded to the network. Typically when a software like IT for a company is cloud based, it's usually over the internet or some sort of network where up dates and information can be pushed remotely to whatever device is linked to that software. It's becoming a more efficient alternative to having servers at each IT company's client. When Desmond's genetic memories (or his father's? Who knows) are uploaded to the cloud, it just means anyone connected to that network can have access to it. This ties to the multiplayer with the idea that Abstergo is commercializing the animus to the public and it ties with the fact that the Abstergo analyst is able to gain access to Edward's memories. Correct me if I'm wrong though.   173.177.106.145 02:50, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
173.177.106.145 has it right on the money! Thank you for translating (even though I didn't understand half of your explanation on clouds), really helpful!  Allfictions (talk) 23:07, April 25, 2013 (UTC)

See Pivots. The actual memories pertaining to the epilogue can be found here, here, and here. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 01:48, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

I'm actually the one who added the sentence to the Wikipedia article. I'm confused as to what your issue with it is? --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 12:54, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
My point is: is it relevant enough to be on the article here?   Allfictions (talk) 23:07, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
