Tail was a visual representation of one of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's genetic memories in the Animus 1.28.

Description

Altaïr planned to tail Shalim, in order to discover the whereabouts of Maria.

Dialogue

Altaïr met with Markos at the resistance safehouse.

  • Altaïr: The Oracle is dead. She won't be spilling any more secrets.
  • Markos: Ah, that is a great relief.
  • Altaïr: Who is Shalim? I overheard him talking to Bouchart earlier, discussing Maria. It seems they lost her.
  • Markos: Shalim is the Bull's whelp. A vicious man, though not so devout as his father. He's been seen with Bouchart on more than one occasion.
  • Altaïr: I think I'll tail him for a while, to see what I can learn.
  • Markos: Meet me in the Market district when you're through. I'd like to know what you've found.

Altaïr made his way to the merchant district, and located Shalim and his guards.

  • Shalim: My father's been murdered, soldier, and I'm in no mood to spend my own money on women. Why don't we spend a little of his?

Shalim gestured towards a citizen. His guards harassed the citizen, while ordering a nearby Templar to leave.

  • Guard 1: Take a break. Shalim's orders.

The Templar left his post.

Tail Kyrenia Merchant District 3

Shalim and his guards harassing a citizen

  • Guard 2: You ugly wretch. A face like yours ought to be taxed!
  • Citizen: Please, you've no right to do this!

Altaïr witnessed Shalim kill another citizen.

  • Shalim: What's the take today, hm?
  • Guard: Not bad, Shalim. Enough to buy some wine and a bit of fun.
  • Shalim: I like the way you think, soldier. Let's go.

Eventually, Shalim encountered a pirate and a courtesan.

  • Pirate: Raise a mug, Shalim!

Shalim beat up the pirate, and took the courtesan with him.

  • Courtesan: Shalim, no! Please don't!
  • Shalim: Have your fun, men. And round up some local talent for me when you're finished.

Outcome

Altaïr tailed Shalim across Kyrenia's merchant district and learned of his habits.
