Murcia is a city in south-eastern Spain and the capital of the region of Murcia. This city is also the hometown of Jorge Díaz.

History[]

In 1489, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins entered the city in search of a painting from a set created by Leonardo da Vinci that had been inadvertently gambled away by their associate, Jaime del Rada. The paintings were obtained by the Inquisition captain Diego de Burgos, who separated them and gave one to each of his underlings. Among those people was Garcia Galindo, a slumlord who worked for the Inquisition. Finding Garcia's stash house, the Assassins disabled the traps within and recovered the painting.[1]

In 1492, the Spanish Assassins again traveled to the city to eliminate a corrupt merchant after reading correspondences he had with the Templar Ojeda, in which he was thanked for contributing the profits from the sale of property once owned by the Inquisition's victims to the church's cause.[2] One of Tomás de Torquemada's Dogs of the Lord, the Inquisitor Gustavo Ramírez, also had a strong grasp over the city during this time. He resided within a stronghold there, the Spanish Assassins once again entered to city for an attempt on his life. They failed and Ramírez escaped to Saragossa.[3]
