James Loye is a British actor and voice actor based in Montreal, Canada. He has done voice work and motion capture for multiple entries in the Assassin's Creed franchise, with his most prominent roles being Edmund Judge in the Aveline DLC for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Frédéric Rouille in Assassin's Creed: Unity.
Born in Bristol, Loye obtained a first class honours degree in acting at the Royal Welsh College of Music And Drama. He subsequently worked as an actor in London for over a decade. Productions he performed in include Lord of the Rings, Cymbelline and Robin Hood, the last of which earned Loye a META award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2013.
