The Hercules was a frigate in His Majesty's Royal Navy and sailed in the Caribbean during the early 18th century. The Hercules was captained by Templars, the Thomson brothers, and aided their Order in smuggling.
Sometime between 1716 and 1722, the ship stopped in the village of Grand Cayman to conclude a lucrative deal. The pirate Edward Kenway killed one of the brothers on the island, and chased the other brother on the Jackdaw, who tried to escape on the Hercules. Kenway sunk the Hercules, killing the other Templar.
