Giulietta was a Venetian actress active at the turn of the 16th century.
After a one-night stand with Vito, Giuletta was gifted a a beautiful harlequin mask, which she took to her dressing room. Bastiano da Mezzo, seeking the item for himself, broke into the room while Giuletta performed, but was surprised by her entering the room, knocking over a lit candle and starting a fire that quickly spread. Bastiano escaped through the window, but she was overcome by the black fumes and passed out, being later rescued by the thief.[1]
