Frida was a Swedish jarl and member of Eric the Victorious' war council, along with Torgny the Lawspeaker.

When discussing how to make their stand against Styrbjörn the Strong, Frida came up with a plan to stop him by confronting him at the mouth of the Fyriswater, while others believed they should wait for Styrbjörn at Uppsala, where they were strongest. Thorvald Hjaltason argued that her plan showed wisdom, but not cunning, and proposed an alteration to it that King Eric accepted.^[1]
