Okay, so I was just rewatching some AC3 gameplay from E3 and I noticed in the Boston Stealth Walkthrough on PS3 ( when the quick select weapon thingy pops up, there's an unidentified weapon or tool. This appears at about 1:08 minutes, at the bottom of the weapon select. It looks like some kind of rope, lasso, or noose, and I can tell it isn't the rope dart because the icon for the rope dart shown in the Frontier demo is a different one with a knife. So what do you guys think it is? SoulJesterInfamy 07:39, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

The top is a fist, the left is the tomahawk, the right is a pistol and the bottom is a rope dart, we see Connor use it to hang enemies hence it looks like a noose. I hope that anwers your question. :) -- KaloneousHelpDesk 07:46, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

Are you sure it's the rope dart? In the frontier demo, the symbol for the Rope Dart is different. This looks like something else. The sybol in the frontier was like an S-shape with a knife on the end. This looks more like a lasso or a noose. SoulJesterInfamy 07:53, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

I must rewatch the frontier demo then, because I thought this was the symbol for the rope dart :/ -- KaloneousHelpDesk 07:56, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

Here's the comparison for you Kal. And the image on the right does not look like a rope dart, although it could be. I mean the video posted above seems to be an earlier version of the Boston Massacre demo--OdranoellutaTalkSig.png 07:59, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

Ever since this forum was made I have been trying to edit and now believe God does not want you to no that the weapon is most likely a bomb. I thought of this when the video was released and am confident that it is a bomb. YEEEES! I did it! Now all I have to do is sign 08:17, July 3, 2012 (UTC) And post!

I still think it is a rope dart but for noose attacks. I believe it is something you have to select as it does not automatically do it when near a tree. The dart itself has multiple functions and I remember hearing that during an E3 interview. :) -- KaloneousHelpDesk 08:23, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

It is absolutely no ropedart because in the full video on the WII U when he uses it you'll actually see the same sign as in the frontier demo!--Tdv96 08:25, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

It's probably a smoke bomb. 20:38, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

You people are crazy to think that's a smoke bomb. It would not be a hollow picture and look like it was drawn by a 7 year old if it was a smoke bomb. That's clearly a noose.--Pariah695 21:47, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

That is clearly a hangman's noose. Perhaps an upgrade to the Rope Dart. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 21:59, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

Or maybe it's the meteor hammer, which is very similar to the rope dart and could also be an upgrade!Jackadorspartacus 22:55, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

its defo no smoke bomb.. and it really looks like some kind of noose, so ill say that its an upgrade....maybe downgrade from the ropedart.. maybe at first Connor will be using typical rope, a lasso(like Marston) and then someone will say.. hey take your hidden blade take it of use it as a dagger or attach it to your rope (^_^)Marchewsky 09:15, July 4, 2012 (UTC)

btw i can see all those YT clips with Connor throwing RopeDart edited with MK Scorpion's "Get Over Here"!!! lol Marchewsky 09:17, July 4, 2012 (UTC)

I think it's a lasso. :P Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 15:18, July 4, 2012 (UTC)

I think you may be right on the lasso part! Also, I found this quite interesting:

In games con Hutchinson said you can trap animals and I think this is what that is for 17:24, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

Definitely have to agree on it being a lasso, the knot doesn't look right to be a noose, and its not an upgrade or preceding version of the rope dart as you can see both icons used in the commented Boston demo, trapping does appear to be a reasonable use for having it in game.
