Hey everyone, Couple quick questions regarding our newest games. When looking at the list of main games, why is Rogue listed before Unity? I thought since Unity was officially announced first it would be the first one listed. I have not even started Unity yet, but I am working my way through Rogue, as I was interested in playing as a Templar. Anyway, no spoilers please, but does it have to do with the modern day storylines? Does Rogue's modern day story take place before Unity's? Or is it listed that way for some other reason? Thanks in advance. Eaglewulf23 (talk) 05:16, December 21, 2014 (UTC)

I think Rogue is before or during Unity, modern day and past storylines. 98.214.202.60 20:29, December 22, 2014 (UTC)

We've listed Rogue before Unity because its historical storyline largely takes place before Unity's, chronologically. The modern day storylines are more or less concurrent as far as I know. Crook The Constantine District 20:45, December 22, 2014 (UTC)
I can think of a few reasons, so I'll make a list.
  1. Rogue takes place before Unity, as Crook said
  2. It is the final last-gen game (poke my eye and cut out my tongue if I'm wrong), so it makes sense to list it before the next-gen games
  3. It seems a bit backwards to list an "uber awesome" next-gen game before a last-gen game
  4. Rogue concludes the arc that began in AC3
  5. Unity is the first game to use the new engine, which will likely be continued in Victory
There may be better reasons, but that's what occurred to me right now. --Crimson Knight Intercom 21:20, December 22, 2014 (UTC)
6. unity follows up on a memory at the ending of rogue , once you reach that part of the game you will understand
Well, yeah, I guess. Thanks. --Crimson Knight Intercom 21:27, January 3, 2015 (UTC)

Rogue's modern day also takes place before Unity. In Rogue, Juhani is planning on visiting the Observatory. In Unity, you get his report on the site. 98.214.202.60 06:26, January 5, 2015 (UTC)

That was a recorded message. It's still unknown which happens first or if they take place at the same time. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 06:53, January 5, 2015 (UTC)
I don't understand what you're saying. Are you saying he could have recorded his trip to the Observatory before he made the trip? In Rogue he was still planning on making the trip. Or are you saying his plan to take the trip was a recording? That is possible, I don't remember properly but I thought he told you in person. I'll believe you if you say his planning was recorded though. 98.214.202.60 18:32, January 5, 2015 (UTC)
The one where Otso mentions going to the Observatory takes place before the modern day events of Rogue. I'm pretty sure the recording has a date on it from when it was. I don't know for certain, but I thought it was somewhere in May 2014; regardless, it would be before Otso and Violet went to work at Abstergo Entertainment. I had to double-check myself. Crook's right; it's in "The Ankh" recording from May 2014, one of the earliest recordings you can find in the game. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 18:45, January 5, 2015 (UTC)
Cool easter egg: In AC Rogue  if youreach the very last mission when travel to france, you can roam around the building and find chlid Arno talking to Elise. Very cool!! Carbheat3 (talk) 01:45, January 9, 2015 (UTC)
