So, did anyone notice in the E3 demo how Connor shot the bow and arrow with his right hand holding the bow, and the left hand holding the arrow, if he was right handed it would have been the other way around, also if he is left handed would that make him the first of Desmonds ancestors to be a lefty. What are your thoughts on this?

Hmm, its possible but I can use a bow with both hands but I prefer my dominant hand depending on the draw required (I do archery in college). What I mean is that Connor is probably ambidextrous and can wield bows and other weapons with bow hands with equal proficiency. -- KaloneousHelpDesk 23:37, June 11, 2012 (UTC)

Maybe he's ambidexterous? Like how Ezio shoots the gun from his left hand, crossbow from his right hand. IlMualim Wanna Chat? 00:56, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

He wields the tomahawk and rifle with his right hand in the E3 demo. I bet they just made him shoot the bow left-handed in the cinematic trailer for artistic purposes. From the angle of the shot, it's a much more striking image than if they had made him shoot it from the other arm. Most people wouldn't even notice.24.210.189.225 05:37, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

I concur with the anon above me but he may have also been ambidextrous seeing as he dual wields weapons you'd have to be pretty good with both hands if you know what I mean Lucan07Talk 06:41, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

Honestly, with the whole idea of double hidden blades, and the mastery with that, I can assume that both Ezio and Altaïr were already ambidextrous ancestors. Plus, they both shot the hidden gun from the left hand and the crossbow from the right. (In the AC trailer, Altaïr had a crossbow, which he shot I believe two guards with). Even then, Connor would almost HAVE to be ambidextrous, considering the ability to dual wield perfectly, and what you had alreayd mentioned. He does shoot the bow lefty, but he holds guns and such righty. BlankDistortion 08:36, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

This certainly raises some good questions to ponder about dual wielding. I had always assumed that Altair had the hidden blade on his left hand since it would be weaker than his right more dominant hand (no proof it was the dominant hand just my theory) and this would offset any imbalance. Though I assume dual wielding only became the standard after Altair's time since he stopped the removal of fingers. -- KaloneousHelpDesk 08:56, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

That is a good point, I had never thought about that, but the addition would still mean that he could have easily been ambidextrous. I always figured it was just an idea to give the Assassin's a competitive edge. With the whole inbalance thing though, you really come across a brilliant point. Still, I don't think that he would be all too much 'crippled' by the missing finger, considering the usage of the blade. With the hidden blade, the user really has no need for his fingers. The only issue with the hand in my opinion would be in his freerunning then, but still. Your point about the dual wielding after his time is also quite possible I would say. I am sure some Assassins could dual wield before the removal of the finger sacrifice, but it would probably become more common after. Connor would be the first one to literally dual wield from the anestors though, which could lead to a few questions.BlankDistortion 09:06, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

But I thought Ezio was right handed? Because in Assassins' Creed Renaissance I'm pretty sure Leonardo asked if Ezio was right handed because he has to wield the hidden blade with his weaker hand. Also, just to point out I think Connor is ambidextrous as he also skins the deer in the E3 demo with his left hand whilst he uses his right hand for his tomahawk and guns. Dwmad96 19:20, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

I don't think that Leonardo asked about Ezio's dominate hand, considering that the hidden blade he was repairing was not being made from scratch, and it was already fitted for the left arm. I can assume Ezio is ambidextrous with that information as well, considering he gets the second blade and can use it equally well, creating a balance. If he does ask in Renaissance though, I am only assuming, as I haven't yet read it. As for Connor being ambidextrous, the videos can confirm that without the actual words being stated. One, he has a mastery for dual wielding, meaning he must have a balance with both hands. Two, he holds major weapons in the right, but shoots the bow and skins animals left. So I think it is safe to assume that Connor is ambidextrous, but don't quote me, because it is all still speculation. I think Admin would be the only people having the freedom and power to decide whether or not this can be true. 74.194.205.119 21:36, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

I wrote the anon post above, sorry, the computer logged me off and I hadn't noticed. BlankDistortion 21:37, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

well ezio uses his right hand to write, hold weapons, like the blade and swords.and all assassins have had their hidden blade on their left hands, except darius, but he may have been left handed.and with his gun,he was slow to aim it at first, and couldn't aim adeptly until brotherhood.judging by that,i don't think he was always ambidextrous, but just got used to it.connor however,i'm not sure.since he's able to duel wield so adeptly,he might be,but i can't say for sureAssassin of 81 22:14, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

Just to let you all know, Ezio was definitely right handed. As I have previously said in Assassin's Creed Renaissance Leonardo says "You're right-handed, aren't you? Good." So there's the proof, and it also states in the trivia for Ezio on his page on this wikia this he is right-handed aswell. Sorry I just had to confirm that Ezio was right-handed... http://gyazo.com/fe54434baaacd40e3cfe5f412c1b3ddc , i believe hes drawing back with his right hand and holding the bow with his left. Thus, making him right handed. Bonzi 006 10:04, June 17, 2012 (UTC)

I'm right handed and I hold my bow like Connor does in the image Bonzi posted...minus the flying through the air over soldiers with spiky bayonets, so Connor is either right handed or ambidextrous more likely the latter due to his skill in dual wielding. Lucan07Talk 08:10, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

ANYONE with shooting experience would know this: the way you shoot depends on your dominant eye not your dominant hand. I'm right handed but I shoot bows the way Connor does because my left eye is stronger. That way I pull the arrow back with my left hand and I can look down the shaft of the arrow with my left eye. It's the same deal with guns too, Connor probably uses a musket lefty as well. In conclusion, he's left eye dominant, right hand dominant. 75.33.33.118 03:37, June 21, 2012 (UTC)

I disagree, the dominant eye thing might work for guns, but i don't think it does for a bow and arrow. For instance, i'm right handed and when i draw back i use my right arm purely based on strength, not my eye. I have tried pulling back with my left hand but, its no where near as easy or efficient. I also shoot a gun with my right hand, but thats just because it feels more comfortable there. As for Connor being ambidextrous maybe, but i think he is right-handed and just able to fight really really well. Bonzi 006 06:43, June 21, 2012 (UTC)
