Erudito's phonetaps were audio recordings leaked by Erudito of phone conversations from late 2010 between Project Legacy's Project Manager Anson Peake and his boss.[1]

Phonetap transcripts[]

On 12 November, 2010, a conversation between Anson Peake and his superior was released as a sound file:

  • A. Peake: Good morning, sir. It would appear that we have a situation. Project Legacy has been compromised. Err—this morning, we noticed that a component was installed in the DDS firmware, allowing outside interaction with the recruits.
  • ???: Mr. Peake, what exactly do you mean by interaction?
  • A. Peake: Err, well, it would seem that some of the new memories have appeared completely out of sequence with our itinerary, originating in the early 16th century and they're all over Europe, the only binding that ties these memories is the fact that all persons originate from Italy.
  • ???: Can you isolate the source subject?
  • A. Peake: That's just it. There is no source subject in our records. They are coming from an outside console, they appear to be memories from all across the map, I mean, Paris, Lisbon, Cologne, Moscow, err, Calicut, Constantinople—the locations are just so random.
  • ???: Have the, what do you call them, "recruits", been exposed?
  • A. Peake: No, no, they've yet to be deployed.
  • ???: Are you unable to remove them?
  • A. Peake: I'm afraid not.
  • ???: Leave it then.
  • A. Peake: Err, sir, are you certain that's wise?
  • ???: Just continue to monitor the subjects, Mr. Peake, that's what you're paid for. I want the memories decoded as soon as possible.
  • A. Peake: As you wish, sir.

Another conversation between Anson Peake and his superior was released on 17 December, 2010, but this came as a video instead of a sound file:

  • ???: Ass-kissing, small-minded jackass! I need you to explain something, and I need you to explain something right now! How the hell does classified information get leaked, hm? Tell me!
  • A. Peake: I do apologize for this, I did warn you this would happ—
  • ???: You—You warned me?! You warned me! The hell's that supposed to mean? This is completely unacceptable, Peake! We're going into full lockdown! From now on, all information is distributed through me, you understand? Emails, documents, read-outs, the freaking cafeteria menu, everything!
  • A. Peake: But sir—
  • ???: But nothing! I simply cannot understand, with—with all our resources, all our security, how something like this could happen. Can you?
  • A. Peake: Sir, are you insinuating that I have something do to with thi—
  • ???: *sigh* Relax, Mr. Peake, if I thought that you would know, trust me.
  • A. Peake: Sir.
  • ???: We're going to be making a few alterations to our internal structure, you will be briefed as we proceed.
  • A. Peake: Of course, sir. Is there anything I could do to help?
  • ???: Well, you can start with your job!
