- The individual gear pieces of the Foreign Regiment and French Duelist sets do not have a consistent naming convention to denote an official name for the gear sets as a whole. Instead, they are given an unofficial name based on the theme of the gear set.

- Despite the Tailored set being used in all promotional material for the game and being depicted as the legacy outfit for Arno in Assassin's Creed: Rogue, later releases such as the remaster of Assassin's Creed III and the Nintendo Switch port of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag have Arno‘s Fearless outfit as the legacy outfit for Arno, while Arno himself wears the Tailored set during his brief cameo in the Assassin's Creed film.
