Elbegdorj (died 31 May 1223) was a Mongolian horse breeder. Despite having no skill at war, he was forced to fight in the army of Genghis Khan.

During the Battle of the Kalka River in 1223, Elbegdorj was killed. His death led his son, Nergüi, to hold a deep grudge against the Khan and his family. He would subsequently join the Assassin Order.
