As a boy, Arbaaz had to survive in terrible conditions under the reign of the Sikhs and became a survivor and a thief. He was a gifted climber and a smart, charming boy, which helped him to stay alive and fed during these years of hardship.
Despite these qualities, Arbaaz found himself one day in enough trouble to require the help of another to survive. Hamid, already a Master Assassin, saved him and became his friend. The Mentor was charmed by the kid as anyone would have, and took it upon himself to train him in the ways of the Assassins and to teach him the Creed.
