- "Most impressive, my friend. The others said you make a mess of things, but not I. No, I was sure you'd come through. And come through you have."
- ―The Damascus Bureau leader to Altaïr.[src]
|Damascus Bureau leader|
In 1191, the Assassins' Bureau in Damascus was frequently visited by the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, who had to report to the Bureau leader before each assassination, as part of his punishment for disobeying the Creed. Unlike many of the other Assassins, especially Malik Al-Sayf, the Bureau Leader of Damascus did not show his displeasure with Altaïr directly, instead he became sarcastic and feigned admiration while simultaneously insulting him. Eventually he came to legitimately like Altaïr, referring to him as the "hero of Damascus".
Altaïr would often confront the Bureau Leader with the mysteries he encountered after having assassinated his targets, though the Bureau leader usually directed him to Al Mualim for answers, believing that Al Mualim was their source of knowledge.
- The Damascus Bureau leader shares his voice actor with Leonardo da Vinci.
