Pope Callixtus III or Callistus III (1378 – 1458), born Alfons de Borja (Valencian: Alfons de Borja) was Pope from 1455 to his death.[1]

Callixtus was the uncle of Rodrigo Borgia, the eventual Grand Master of the Italian Rite of the Templar Order.[2] Callixtus also held the Faith prong of the Trident of Eden, which he passed on to King Alfonso V of Aragon.[3]

In 2012, when the Assassin Desmond Miles was reliving the genetic memories of his Italian Assassin ancestor Ezio Auditore through the Animus 2.0, Desmond's fellow Assassin and historian Shaun Hastings had an illustration of Callixtus at his work station.[4]
