Ragdoll physics
Edit
The physics engine in Assassin's Creed experienced quite a few glitches, most notably those in the ragdoll physics. Ragdoll physics were the physics of a falling body, in which the body parts fell realistically and were affected by forces, as opposed to using a set animation. Occasionally, the physics system had some difficulty – the glitch could have been as minor as a sword or other object strangely jutting out of the body or as major as a body flying through the air, each body part (head, feet, hands) many feet from each other.
Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles
Edit
Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles, released for the Nintendo DS, Symbian and iPhone, suffered from a number of glitches, most of them centered around the combat animations. In the game, if an enemy was on the ground, Altaïr could stab them, instantly killing him. However, if the Assassin was facing another direction or was offset from the fallen enemy, the animation still occurred away from the newly dead. This also occurred if Altaïr was in the middle of a crowd of guards and began making a series of combination strikes.
Assassin's Creed
Edit
- Main article: Assassin's Creed bugs
Assassin's Creed was first released for Xbox 360 and PS3 and later for PC. The bugs it faced were mostly centered on the A.I. of the NPCs and interactions with the environment. A.I. would occasionally freeze, and the buildings occasionally had irregular interactions with Altaïr. Most could be solved by exiting to the main menu and reloading the game.

Bugs
Edit
No boundaries
Edit
Memory walls in Bloodlines, meant to keep the player from accessing areas not part of the memory, could be bypassed by sprinting toward the wall and grabbing at a guard on the other side.[1]
Unseen killer
Edit
On occasion, Altaïr spawned as an invisible man or a guard. Reloading the game fixed the problem. [2]
Mountain trap (take II)
Edit
During the assault on Castle Buffavento, Altaïr was able to fight his way through a mountain wall, very similar to the end of the first console game. Exiting and reloading the game fixed the problem. [3]
End of the line
Edit
At the final level, if Altaïr died in the archives before he faced Armand Bouchart, the game would freeze. Exiting and reloading the game would fix the problem. However, this will still reoccur.

Assassin's Creed II: Discovery
Edit
Assassin's Creed II: Discovery, released for the iPhone and Nintendo DS, had a number of glitches in its combat system. Most of them were in the mismatching of combat animations. A popular one was commonly seen during fights with guards and is illustrated in the image on the right.
Some other glitches were that when some guards (mainly archers) were on rooftops and multiple guards were pushing them closer to the roof edge. This resulted in the guard falling. For archers, they would no longer appear on the map and would instantly change to their falling animation, meaning that due to them being pushed off, they were killed as they started to fall. This is known to happen on the Nintendo DS version mainly.
Another glitch was that a guard never attacked Ezio and instead just ran left and right from one side of a wall to the other. The glitch can be fixed by either running into them or hitting, pulling them down from ledges or any combat move performed on them.
