Golden Age of PiracyEdit
In 1719, the Templars had a safehouse located in Rio de Janeiro, which was used to store blood vials containing the blood of members of their Order. That year, Laureano de Torres y Ayala, Grand Master of the West Indies Rite, shipped the blood samples given to him by Woodes Rogers and Benjamin Hornigold to the safehouse.
By September 2012, a Templar mole had infiltrated the Assassin cell located in São Paulo. Around that time, the team had to move safe houses for at least the second time and they suspected the double agent's presence in the team, believing them to be leaking their position to the Templars, which forced them to delay their progress and find the spy. Eventually, the double agent was found and the team cut off contact with the Assassin headquarters and presumably moved to another city.
On 2 December 2012, Abstergo Industries sent several agents, including Daniel Cross, to a stadium in São Paulo in order to retrieve a power source in possession of a woman who was spectating a mixed martial arts tournament as well as to capture the Assassin Desmond Miles, who was on a mission to retrieve the power source as well. Daniel managed to get to the woman first and and shot both her and her husband to death as Desmond arrived. Daniel attempted to flee with the power source, but was caught by Desmond, who retrieved the artifact after knocking Daniel out in a fist-fight, before safely escaping on the subway.
