The point of Unity was to relaunch the Franchise and update some of the gimmicks. A good idea in theory and I like some of the stuff, As for the old white-room conversations, on one hand I like some of the flashbacks but the game kind of proves why those Templar Deathbed Conversations were so important. It fulfilled a certain function which the deathbed flashbacks don't do at all.
In Assassin's Creed, the point of those conversations wasn't necessarily to advance the plot or spell out a cool plot twist. Its about humanizing the targets and making Altair question his work, provide him a different perspective and the like. In Assassin's Creed II and Ezio games, they made the conversations briefer and shorter but the point is to give the villain a…Read more >
This theory has been going around Facebook and it is possible it's true. So the Koh-I-Noor is a PoE that can connect other PoE's together, it can also only be wielded by a woman.
- In 1850 it was passed to Queen Elizabeth, AC Syndicate takes place in 1868
- We see an Indian in the footage, he could be related to Arbaaz as the Koh-I-Noor was in India in 1839. This could be why he is in England, to get the Koh-I-Noor back.
- As it can only be wielded by a woman, this is why we play as

As most of you know, Project Legacy was taken off Facebook two years ago. The only way of experiencing the featured lore is by reading the articles on the Wiki here, which in my opinion gets boring pretty quickly (no offence :p).
So I have this idea about 'retelling' the Project Legacy-stories, which I found pretty interesting. The coming weeks I'm gonna recreate all 14 Chapters, in which you can re-experience Project Legacy in a more exciting way!
I also made a little trailer, for the ones interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JP-aO9WZK5s

I was hoping that Ubisoft would return the Desmond-style modern story where the player can actually see himself/herself as third person and kick some Templar butt and not hack computers for a living. But I heard that they will make the modern story like Unity's so I guess that hope is crushed.
What do you think the modern story is all about? I hope Ubisoft will ditch the Sage lines. Sure, it sounded okay with Black Flag but all over again? meh.Read more >

So since I've been writing a lot of comments on Sima's main blog, I thought it would be easier just to make my own blog. Basically, what I'm going to do is talk about my expectations & general opinion on what we know. So let's get to it...
So by this point, I'm sure you all know how I feel about the whole dual protagonists concept, but I haven't really discussed how I feel the game will actually turn out. And well, the answer to that question is that I feel the game will be really good.
Conceptually, I think Ubi have come up with something solid & functional. The whole idea of making your own gang to combat the Templars is something we've never seen before, & the game appears to be going for a slightly darker atmosphere than seen in previous…

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I've noticed that Ubisoft always teases their next settings, very subtly. In AC Brotherhood, we already know they teased III and Unity in the Colosseum vault, and in III, they teased Black Flag with the naval aspect and William Kidd's story. Now they've really been teasing the Far East, from featuring an Asian Templar in Black Flag to Shao Jun, and even to featuring Katanas in Unity and Rogue. And the rope darts.
To add to this, after Syndicate it looks like they will have used all the cool European settings, not to mention the fact that we've been asking for this for I don't know how long! Since we've been to China, and we will already have been to India, I think Japan is pretty much the best option.Read more >
I realised that the last the two most recent games Unity and Syndicate are both in locations and time periods that fans have wanted for a long time. That suggests to me that the people at Ubisoft do listen (sometimes). What's next Feudual Japan? Ancient Egypt?Read more >
Two siblings, Jacob and Evie, grow up in Crawley, a rustic borough just under 30 miles from the city of London. As teenagers they move into the city and are faced with great technological advancements as well as extreme poverty. They form a syndicate, a criminal organization, but also one which empowers the powerless. Using their complementing talents Jacob and Evie move up in the London underworld.
This to me sounds like an interesting premise for a story/game.
The question is: What does AC really add to this fantasy?
Pretty much nothing. All the AC tropes just detracts from what could have been an interesting story. Also from a gameplay point of viewv adding AC on top doesn't make a lot of sense. Brawling, gunfights and carriages are three…

As one or two of you may know I like making polls but this is my first AC one, I was curious as to what features in the series people liked the most so I decided to make a bunch of polls to find out, these include favorite antagonists, allies and locations because I've found that each game (except the handheld ones) seem to do at least one thing better than the others.
I didn't include favorite playable characters because it's on the main page already so I don't see the point of adding it here.
If you'd like to explain why you chose your answers or if you can think of any other questions then feel free to comment.

During the live stream today, Ubisoft has given us a first look at Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. Building upon the new engine and gameplay elements we'd seen in Assassin's Creed: Unity comes a new adventure set in Victorian London. The game will see us take control of Jacob Frye, who alongside his sister Evie, fights with the London gangs against the Templars' oppression of the working class.

I believe that this new assassin's creed will be one of the greatest assassin's creed installments because couple of reasons why. Well far most because assassin's creed unity didn't meet it's quota I mean like what they added in was fantastic fighting styles being able to attack with a whole new variety of weapons, and whole armory of different variety's of color's and outfits. But what they messed up on was the fact that the graphics didn't meet the game very well, like for multiplayer mainly, but how glitchy and buggy it was. But let's get into discussion about Syndicate well what we should look foward to. Because if they mess up on this one they are for sure done with the assassin's creed frachise and will loose a ton of money.

Altair Ibn La'Ahad - Keanu Reeves or Tom Cruise or Jason Statham
Ezio Auditore da Firenze - Brad Pitt (For young and middle aged) and Liam Neeson (For old)
Connor Kenway - Sylvester Stallone

The whole Arno being able to see the memories of his victims thing was a missed opportunity. That could have opened up some interesting new stuff in the series, but it was reduced to being a flimsy plot device that the writers didn't even bother to explain. I decided to write my own review on our beloved franchise's new title, Unity, mostly because I am tired of seeing so many people only talking that it is a great game and there is no reason to hate it so much or crucifying it saying it is the worst game in all of history. So! We're on the French Revolution now! I must say it is my favourite period in history after the 1400's, and that was something that disappointed me eventually. But let's start with the setting of the game. Paris, late 18th century, the biggest city in the world, and the bigges…

I just finished playing AC:Rogue's main story line and I'm pleasantly surprised.
I was not originally going to buy Rogue as it seemed to just be milked out DLC but after reading the reviews (and only have a last-gen console) I thought I'd give it a go.
It feels like it's own game. Whilst the gameplay is naturally similar to Black Flag and Freedom Cry it the character is distinctive enough (although the accent is a little too cliche at times!) and dominating enough that it doesn't feel like a repeat performance. It it frustrating that there is no real choice in main combat - hidden blades and sword&dagger are good but why couldn't we just have the sword or just have the dagger as combat options too? In 2013, after the death of Desmond Miles in 2012, Abstergo decided that Subject 17's DNA genetic memories should not be waisted. They renamed the person's title from Subject 17, to Sample 17, and they immidiately hired a person to dive into the genetic memories of Edward James Kenway. Though they said they did it to make a trailer for Abstergo Entertainment, they changed opinion after they found out about the Observatory, through Edward Kenway's DNA. Sample 17 however, was in a hacking career at Abstergo's information, guided by John Standish. After the project's end, John was eventually discovered by Abstergo and killed. DESIRES: A story of conspiracy and intrigue (and a rapidly-thickening plot hehe). Vic London lends itself perfectly to a story like this.
A story where we care about the characters. I think the best way to do this is just too have a consistent few characters that we're with for the whole game. One of my gripes with Unity is that there are too many characters, and as a result they're underutilised (I'm looking at you Napoleon/Marqui de Sade). When you have so many characters, you end up spending less time with them, which makes them less memorable. I feel this game would have been great if you spent the whole story with Napoleon, Marqui de Sade, Elise and Mirabeau. You'd care more about the characters if you spent the whole story with these …Read more >

I want a formidable and interesting antagonist. My favourite AC antagonists are Haytham and Cesare. I want Victory to top that.
The first ìmages are promising but I really want to see an Assassins creed game that primarily plays in a night like time. Sure, give the option, but it seems so much more immersive.
Give us a complex main character, not a lovable fool like Arno (He wasn't bad but not very complex either), but most of all, give us complex side characters. Unity's had some boring side guys.
Either wrap up MD or give it an actual form, the way it was in Unity was just terrible.

This week a leak from Kotaku revealed a new Assassin's Creed title set for 2015. Titled 'Assassin's Creed: Victory', it reportedly takes place in Victorian era London in the 19th century. Kotaku said an E3-esque game demo showed the assassination of a Templar, Roderick Bulmer.
This leak is unusually early, with Unity and Rogue having been out for not even a month, suggesting it has been in development for some time now.
What are your thoughts on the setting? This is the farthest close to the present thus far, which could mean some big changes in weaponry and crowd life.Read more >

The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next year. There will be no release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next year, indicating that Assassin's Creed will fully move towards current gen consoles only.Read more >

In assassins creed rogue in the first time out of the animus you find a tablet (communicator). If you look at it it has a letter from Melany Lemay or your boss that is to a guy I do believe is named Robert. It says how he will be going into ARNO DORIANS memories. Sound familiar? Yes Arno is the main protagonist in AC Unity. It also says that it is top secret and Robert will be staying in the animus for long periods of time. In unity you become an initiate and work for the assassins. Is a real-life version of the Animus possible, more or less complex than the in-game version. Give reasoning for your opinion. "It won't work." is an opinion, but it doesn't back up your opinion and doesn't show what you really think about the possibility.
A real-life version of the Animus could be possible. Most of the brain is simply used for storage and it is possible that if a brain is preserved after death that it could be accessed in order to (in code or otherwise) show what exactly was recorded in the brain, whether if it was audio, video, feeling or otherwise. I do not think it would be as simple as reading DNA from anywhere, but perhaps implante…

First of all, my opinion on the overall game is that it's beautiful and stunning, and the plot is good as well. I didn't encounter any, but if someone has, the game would become irritating to that person. What I am concerned about is the story, and Arno himself.
