As of yesterday, at least from my timezone as I post this, it has come to light that Ubisoft and Patrice Désilets have agreed to let bygones be bygones, to which Ubisoft have relinquished the right of ownership of the intellectual property known as 1666: Amsterdam back to Patrice. Ubisoft had initially come into possession of 1666 after the company had purchased the IP from THQ following the latter's dissolution, following which Ubisoft had removed Patrice from the project and then subsequently put it on development hold, sparking the legal battle between the two.
In response to this recent gesture of good will, Désilets has withdrawn his lawsuit against Ubisoft from the Superior Court of Québec, and stated: "I'm glad Ubisoft and I were abl…Read more >

"Those violet eyes haunt me. He is not of our kind, the abomination. He came from beyond stars as we did eons ago. I spit at his name; betrayer, murderer, cutthroat, thief, liar. I hate him more than you. All of you cannot contain the same hatred I bear him. He seeks us out even today, even after he eradicated us so long ago. A revenge against our revenge. He helped your kind and doomed mine, giving you the fire of our greatness: what you call the Apple. He gave the protoforms freedom and doomed us. He laughed over the corpse of my people. I have seen the cost of freedom. It destroys all in its wake. My beloved locked him in his vault in which he drew the sun down upon the world as he nearly did so shortly ago to eradicate us. Who do you guys think is the most skilled assassin throughout the entire series? After reading all their articles on the wiki, I came up with a list!
1. Ezio Auditore da Firenze 2. Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad 3. Edward James Kenway 4. Ratonhnhaké:ton 5. Haytham E. Kenway 6. Aveline de Grandpré 7. Desmond Miles
Of course, I made this list according to the assassins' overall behavior. If it's physical strength, then definitely Ratonhnhaké:ton. Stealth: Altaïr, Edward, and Ezio. So what do you guys think? Was the list good or bad? Have a different opinion? Share them! I'm interested in each of your lists.Read more >

1) Character: The first thing I want is the same twin character but I want them to be both boys and I also want their costumes to be different in colour. For example: One twin should have white coloured outfit resembling his trustworthy, compassionate and trusts everyone and other twin should have black outfit resembling his dark nature that he is brutal, deadly, dangerous. Both character should have 50% gameplay.
2) Weapon: I am happy that they brought back the throwing knives and I would be more happy if they bring bombs back and not just smoke bombs but also splinter bomb, blood bomb, datura bomb etc.

Okay so, I know the common complaint around the recent Assassins Creed entries are that, well the modern day story sucks. Well, yes it does, but this theory here created(or at least shared) by MattPatt of the GameTheory channel suggests that Watch_Dogs, Asassin's Creed, Splinter Cell (etc) all share a single world, similar to what the Marvel Cinematic Universe is doing with the Avengers, Guardians the Galaxy and the Inhumans, what Universal is doing with their monster movies, and the X-Men-Fantastic 4 movies.
Now, while I whole heartedly agree, support and share this theory(I love the concept of a shared universe more than anything), I can totally see this backfiring on Ubisoft if this is true, as, commonly when they do a shared universe, …Read more >
Major-General Sir Herbert Benjamin Edwardes was an English administrator, soldier, and statesman active in the Punjab, India. He is best known as the "Hero of Multan" for his pivotal role in securing the British victory in the Second Anglo-Sikh War.
Edwards' extensive work in India could suggest that he is a previous adversary of Henry Green and Arbaaz Mir, who has returned to London to secure Templar power and combine a collection of Pieces of Eden with the Koh-I-Noor. Comments from the developers insinuate that there will be "Multiple Pieces of Eden", and the Templars might possibly need the Koh-I-Noor to bind all the fates of these pieces.
This could be an applicable reason why Edwards travelled to India in 1841, to obtain the Koh-I-Noor …Read more >
Today Yahoo offered a first look at Michael Fassbender in costume as the main character in the upcoming Assassin's Creed film.
Fassbender's character is Callum Lynch, who discovered he's a descendant of Assassins through reliving the life of his ancestor Aguilar in 15th century Spain. After acquiring his ancestor's skills, he's poised to take on the Knights Templar in the modern era.
This confirms rumours that started circulating last year which said the film would take place at the time of the Spanish Inquisition.
The film is slated for release on 21 December 2016.Read more >

This is what a great modern day could be that my friend came up with :
- We would control an initiate.
- The initiates we control would be customisable from the botom to the top.
- We would use helix IN the headquarter of the initiates.
- We would, sometimes, do missions where we would act as an assassin.
- We could do the same missions as many times as we want.
- We would be able to explore the initiates HQ inside and outside
- We would be to talk with other characters like in AC2 and ACB.
- Shaun Hasthings would be there (this guy always makes me smile)able to talk with othe
You're free to tell what a great modern day would be for you.

The point of Unity was to relaunch the Franchise and update some of the gimmicks. A good idea in theory and I like some of the stuff, As for the old white-room conversations, on one hand I like some of the flashbacks but the game kind of proves why those Templar Deathbed Conversations were so important. It fulfilled a certain function which the deathbed flashbacks don't do at all.
In Assassin's Creed, the point of those conversations wasn't necessarily to advance the plot or spell out a cool plot twist. Its about humanizing the targets and making Altair question his work, provide him a different perspective and the like. In Assassin's Creed II and Ezio games, they made the conversations briefer and shorter but the point is to give the villain a…Read more >
This theory has been going around Facebook and it is possible it's true. So the Koh-I-Noor is a PoE that can connect other PoE's together, it can also only be wielded by a woman.
- In 1850 it was passed to Queen Elizabeth, AC Syndicate takes place in 1868
- We see an Indian in the footage, he could be related to Arbaaz as the Koh-I-Noor was in India in 1839. This could be why he is in England, to get the Koh-I-Noor back.
- As it can only be wielded by a woman, this is why we play as
Evie. It would suck to play an AC game where we can't wield the

As most of you know, Project Legacy was taken off Facebook two years ago. The only way of experiencing the featured lore is by reading the articles on the Wiki here, which in my opinion gets boring pretty quickly (no offence :p).

I was hoping that Ubisoft would return the Desmond-style modern story where the player can actually see himself/herself as third person and kick some Templar butt and not hack computers for a living. But I heard that they will make the modern story like Unity's so I guess that hope is crushed.

So by this point, I'm sure you all know how I feel about the whole dual protagonists concept, but I haven't really discussed how I feel the game will actually turn out. And well, the answer to that question is that I feel the game will be really good.
Conceptually, I think Ubi have come up with something solid & functional. The whole idea of making your own gang to combat the Templars is something we've never seen before, & the game appears to be going for a slightly darker atmosphere than seen in previous…

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I've noticed that Ubisoft always teases their next settings, very subtly. In AC Brotherhood, we already know they teased III and Unity in the Colosseum vault, and in III, they teased Black Flag with the naval aspect and William Kidd's story. Now they've really been teasing the Far East, from featuring an Asian Templar in Black Flag to Shao Jun, and even to featuring Katanas in Unity and Rogue. And the rope darts.
To add to this, after Syndicate it looks like they will have used all the cool European settings, not to mention the fact that we've been asking for this for I don't know how long! Since we've been to China, and we will already have been to India, I think Japan is pretty much the best option.Read more >
