I feel like the Assassins Creed series has really lost it's luster in recent years. I often find myself wondering where it went wrong. I remember for me the series' appeal began to fade around revelations. Does anyone else feel this way, or is it just me? Please put your thoughts on this below. Now that ACIV Black Flag has been out for a few weeks it leaves people like myself asking "Will there be another AC?" "Where will it be?" and all of that wonderful stuff.
There are a few quite possible future AC ideas that you can see by hacking into an email in the present day world in ACIV Black Flag. To save those the time who can't be bothered to look at it for themselves here are the following ideas.
New England and Amercian Midwest, Nineteenth Century.
Egypt and North Africa, Thirteenth Century.
Ashikaga Shogunate in Japan, Fourteenth Century.
French Revolution, Eighteenth Century.
As for myself I'd personaly like to game the next game featureing in Egypt where you can climb pyrmids while also giveing you a new taste of culture rather the…Read more >
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Review
Spoiler Free Summary
ACIV is the game the pirate genre has been begging for. Visually, acoustically and experientially brilliant. The range of things to do, the true sandbox nature of the game as well as continually impressive play style and variety make it one of the best games I have ever played. And whilst it does make the best use of assassin’s creed play style (which works fantastically in this setting) and resurrects well-loved parts from previous games (imitating glyphs and rifts as well as elements similar to the Truth) it does forget it’s a series based on Assassins for the most part. But still frustrations with the story are a minor factor to be expected in phase 6 of an on-going series which …Read more >
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a big game with a big name. Sprawling over a huge, open-world Caribbean map, with 3 main city locations and many other smaller places to visit, the latest instalment in the Assassin's Creed franchise does away with all that bogged down Assassin's Creed III and does so, so much more. I completed the main story of the game just recently, and so here is my spoiler-free review of this swashbuckling pirate adventure.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag places you in the shoes of Edward Kenway, the bold, albiet greedy, grand-daddy of Assassin's Creed III's main protagonist Ratonhnhake:ton, A.K.A. Connor Kenway, as he searches for the grandest prize of all during the golden age of piracy in the West Indies. Through this…

I can't think of a witty introduction, so let's just see whether Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag strikes gold, and successfully reinvigorates the series, or whether it's just another step down the line to the gallows.
Please be aware that although I tried my hardest to avoid, spoilers have sneaked in.
Well, it's been a tumultuous time for us all. We survived the Second Disaster - although I did lose my favourite kettle due too electrical discharges - and the world is safe, for the most part. The world keeps spinning, and the newly form multimedia arm of business conglomerate Abstergo Industries - the aptly named Abstergo Entertainment - is due to follow-up its roaring 2012 success with the release of yet another historical product; this one base…Read more >

Apparently BF4: Black Flag is now available at the South Texas Chain HEB. Wait What? Their graphic designers accidentally confused BF4 with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag which just so happen to have released the same day. Also with an in-store Coupon, you'll get a free 12 pack of Dr. Pepper (not really). May I say fail!

So after reading as much as i can about the AC series, there is only one question i really want to know.
I admit i seriously thought that there were going to end the AC series with 3, for the simple fact that they kill Desmond off. So when I heard that they were going to make a AC 4, I was fairly happy with Ubisoft. I instanly went out and pre-ordered it. I love Black Flag for the simply fact that your not exactly a Assassin or anything. Your just a Pirate, and come one, who doesn't wish they could've been one. So now that ubisoft has gone both ways, what are they going to base AC off now?
My Friend and I had this disscusion the other day. We thought "Well Hey since they've gone to the Revolution with Connor (insert indian name here), why not …Read more >
Since I've seen a lot of interest in blogs discussing future settings, I want to make a general blog where people can suggest their ideas on where the series should go next.

Hooray, hooray, polls and tabs are back and, even better, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is out worldwide (on PS3 and Xbox 360, sorry Wii-U fanboys, next-gen hopefuls and PC trolls)! But before I move onto the polls, I have something important to say to protect against spoilers.
If you have completed the game, or just want to discuss plot points, please discuss the game in Outsider's blog. This is because some people still want to talk about Assassin's Creed on this website, but care about the story and do not want it spoiling. So again,
Anyway, with that done, let's move onto the Polls!Read more >
Hello, people of AC Wiki,
This is my first blog, and it's about something I suspected since the reveal of Watch Dogs at E3 2012: the hacking game's connection to Assassin's Creed. Now, I've been around the Internet, saying that there was going to be some connection between Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs, bigger than an easter egg, yet have been shut down and ignored every time. Well, it looks like some of us speculative bastards were right: there is a pretty big connection to Watch Dogs in Assassin's Creed IV.
It's unclear whether this is a sign of an official connection between Watch Dogs and the Assassin's Creed series that could be explored in future games, or if the brochure is just an Easter Egg.|Polygon}}
Now take that as you will, but…Read more >
As the sixth game in the Assassin's Creed series, and the first one available for next generation consoles, it makes a certain amount of sense that people have had voiced some concern about the potential quality of Ubisoft Montreal's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag in the months leading up to its release. While recent entries in the Assassin's Creed franchise have managed to maintain the series' grandiose spirit and high entertainment value, there's always the fear that the next one, given how quickly they're putting them out, could, like so many bandits off the plank, flop.
Based on critical reception so far, however, it doesn't look like Assassin's Creed IV is in any way a disappointment. With an engaging, swashbuckling story and a new ga…

Hello all. I'd like to address something that I have been thinking about for a while now. Every year, we get a new game with an all new story, an accompanying novel retelling the very same story, one new comic book originally released in French and released a year later in English, and about yearly another comic book made by Karl Kerschl and Cameron Stewart.
I very much look forward to playing a new game and experiencing a new world within this amazing universe. I also enjoy the announcement of a new comic book featuring an all new story. But waiting a year for half an hour's worth of reading said comic, is too much for my liking. And reading the novelizations just to gather a few extra plot points when I already know the core story is not …Read more >

- Hyped for both modern day and the past!

Good news everybody! (Well, good news for those of you living in the UK at least.)
For those of you lucky enough to, like me, live in the UK, I am pleased to announce the official Black Flag Tour. Taking place from October 14th through to November 19th (yes, I'm aware this post is a couple of days late) Ubisoft will be showing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag in all its splendour in a number of different Universities.
Not only will attendees get to play on the brand-spanking new PS4, but there's also the chance to win any number of Assassin's Creed goodies.
Follow this link for the official Ubisoft announcement; but for those of you who want the dates now, I have posted them below.

As you all might know (I expect so), a film about Assassin's Creed is being prepared. Micheal Fassbender (300, Prometheus, X-Men: First Class, Inglourious Basterds) has been cast to play the main protagonist, as well producing himself the film alonside Hollywood producer Frank Marshall (Indiana Jones series, Back to the Future trilogy). The first draft of the screenplay has been written by Michael Lesslie and Scott Frank (Minority Report, The Wolverine). We can expect to see Desmond nearly soon on the big screen as the film will hit theatres on June 19th 2015. But the most interesting question remains: who will direct Assassin's Creed? Since Ubisoft is keeping its hand on the creative control, I may assume it will not be anyone who shall direct su…Read more >
In one of my current classes we have been assigned to choose a topic and create our own content on our topic. I have chosen "Assassins Creed Lore" as my topic and have started writing my own view on the games/story/characters/etc.
All the content so far (can be viewed here) has been written by me to educate or entertain the masses on Assassins Creed. I do browse around from some refresher information, but also throw the games in so I can gather other information.
The website itself can be viewed here: http://ev4sion.com/assassins_creed_lore
The content I have written has not been copied from any site as I realize that the story of the game and for all the characters can be found just about anywhere. My intention is to have it all summarized …

I had a simple question who went through my mind and I wanted to share it with you: what can we expect from now to the very last Assassin's Creed game as we recently learned that a team of collaborators at Ubisoft has defined a story arc to the series? What sort of surprises are waiting ahead of us? What role will the First Civilization play from now on? What time and historical periods might be explored? There are so many questions and probabilities I wouldn't dare to think alone about them right now. Come and share your thoughts. We never know what you have in mind. Your guesses would might surprise us.Read more >

I joined this Wiki in the hope of benefiting the community, improving my editing skills and giving something back to an incredibly helpful group of people. After my recent disagreement with several key admins, I feel this isn't going to plan, after being given my first warning. It was entirely unintentional of course, I hope to not gain another warning in the future either. I disagreed with the Edward Kenway article and the use of the word "British" used to describe his nationality. As a Welshman myself, I felt I had to disagree. Of course now, after repeatedly edit warring with admins and other users, I regret it.Read more >
Whether it be a historical time period or present day, I would really like to see a game that takes place in Iran. I trust Ubisoft can avoid the recurring instances of Iranophobia and Orientalism that have plagued recent entries in series like 'Call of Duty' and 'Battlefield'. The historical era I would want to see the most would be Safavid Iran around the time of Shah Abbas I (the Iranian counterpart to Suleiman I, though nearly a century apart). Any thoughts or input on the subject are welcome.Read more >
Well, my thing here is I like to spread ideas how I think future titles should go so that way I could get people's opinions on possibly making the franchise better. I thought they should add free-roam to Battlefield, and that they should make a Mario game with Bowser as the main character. Any of you have ideas to make the AC series better? Here's my personal cents.
Whenever I play Assassin's Creed 3, I tend to find it annoying that they always give you a penalty for killing civilians. Get rid of that. I don't like how they make you die if you kill too many civilians. I don't like to be told how to play a game. I want to play it how I want to play it. That's the thing I like about open-world games, like Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, or Simcit…Read more >
I need to get this off my chest. I cannot get away from one particular cartoon that spreading like wildfire. It was particularly noticeable on the Call of Duty Wiki. Why does everyone like My Little Pony so much? It's everywhere (on the Internet). I cannot go ONE website without seeing one of these characters. I mean, it's not a BAD thing, but what's the big deal? It's a show about ponies. It's not worthy of a Nobel Prize. I forced myself to watch an episode, and it was OK at best, but not something I would be completely obsessed over.
I mean, when it came out everyone went nuts. I'm kind of annoyed it's "My Little Pony" this and "My Little Pony" that. Well, one of MY favorite cartoons and movies got a comeback on TV on the same channel, and NO…Read more >

You know, it feels like a lot of modern gamers nowadays think that graphics are the most important thing in a game. They're not. It's gameplay that counts. I've been noticing this in a lot of game places, such as Youtube videos, and other game wikias. Why are graphics considered so important when in reality, it's gameplay that matters. Take Super Mario Bros. (I'm talking about the original, but you can pick whichever one you want in the series). That game had pixelated graphics and 8-bit stuff, but the gameplay rocked. That's why it was so successful. Think of it this way for those who think otherwise.
Would you want to play a game that looked like real life but was so broken it was unplayable? That's what I thought.

Like many others before me, I will now deal with the obfuscation of facetious assumptions and theories. I'm interested since a long time into the metaphysical aspects of the Assassin's Creed saga and all the secrets that surround it. What I mean is I think the series has a message of great importance to our modern era. The saga takes us to the heart of various moments in history and we discover in each of these time periods that mankind hasn't changed at all. The conflict between Assassins and Templars is only a pretext to represent it. Furthermore, these two orders are much more alike than they differ from each other. They share the same ideology and their ultimate goal is to ensure peace (in everything), although the means they use are di…Read more >
Never really had to ask for help about an AC game before. But I've encountered a problem I can't solve. When I put in the disc for AC3 on my Xbox 360, I realised that the game was in a window screen (as in there were black bits on the top & bottom of the screen). This struck me as very odd, as I had literally just completed AC3 again on my PS3; about 5 minutes earlier, & that version wasn't like this. I thought to myself that maybe that's just how this version of the game is (Xbox 360 version) & maybe I'm just imagining things, & it's always been this way. But I don't remember it being that way; albeit I haven't played it for a while on my Xbox.
So yeah, I can't find any options to change this. If someone knows how to fix this I wo…Read more >
