I was just wondering if AC: Rogue is coming to the next-gen consoles. Anyone heard any news, or what they think about it?Read more >
I decided to write my own review on our beloved franchise's new title, Unity, mostly because I am tired of seeing so many people only talking that it is a great game and there is no reason to hate it so much or crucifying it saying it is the worst game in all of history. Also I will be focusing on what is in the game, as I guess everyone is as sick and tired as myself of hearing complaints about how broken and incomplete and buggy the game is, et cetera et cetera...
So! We're on the French Revolution now! I must say it is my favourite period in history after the 1400's, and that was something that disappointed me eventually. But let's start with the setting of the game. Paris, late 18th century, the biggest city in the world, and the bigges…

I just finished playing AC:Rogue's main story line and I'm pleasantly surprised.
I was not originally going to buy Rogue as it seemed to just be milked out DLC but after reading the reviews (and only have a last-gen console) I thought I'd give it a go.
It feels like it's own game. Whilst the gameplay is naturally similar to Black Flag and Freedom Cry it the character is distinctive enough (although the accent is a little too cliche at times!) and dominating enough that it doesn't feel like a repeat performance. It it frustrating that there is no real choice in main combat - hidden blades and sword&dagger are good but why couldn't we just have the sword or just have the dagger as combat options too? When raiding ships and stealth isn't an opt…Read more >
Welcome AC Fans, Lovers, and Geeks! Welcome to the Most Epic Assassin's Creed Games Update Idea of AC History. I promise you this isn't some gaming teenager's fantasy and this is a sophisticated, well thought through proposal that is not only a playful/profitable epic game idea for Assassin's Creed but also an update idea that will make AC anew.
Before you continue reading, here is an introduction to my work.
When Assassin's Creed Unity hit the shelves, a little "protest" began among AC fans like me and probably you.
You probably recognize this.
First AC - Awesome game considering the generation
ACII - Took it to the next level
ACIII - A Little downfall. Can we make it a bit more unique?
ACIV - Ah Pirate battles and islands. But this is hardly …Read more >
In 2013, after the death of Desmond Miles in 2012, Abstergo decided that Subject 17's DNA genetic memories should not be waisted. They renamed the person's title from Subject 17, to Sample 17, and they immidiately hired a person to dive into the genetic memories of Edward James Kenway. Though they said they did it to make a trailer for Abstergo Entertainment, they changed opinion after they found out about the Observatory, through Edward Kenway's DNA. Sample 17 however, was in a hacking career at Abstergo's information, guided by John Standish. After the project's end, John was eventually discovered by Abstergo and killed. Sample 17 however, didn't get Abstergo's attention, so his hacking was continued, as he teamed up with the assassins, …Read more >

Assassin's Creed Victory is placed in 19 century London, the time of the Ripper murders so he could be a target well not in main missions but side missions which would take more then just one side mission (hey a guy can dream). Anyway sins no one knows the right time period all we know is that AC Victory in set in the 19 century we don't know if it was the end or the beginning of the 19 century and sins the Ripper murders started at 1888 its hard to say.
But if there would be a mission then here's how i would imagine it (in 3 different versions): 1) He is sent to kill the Ripper he successfuly finds him and there is a chase sequence (of corse) he catches …Read more >
Hello everyone. My name is Zombiehunter115, but for short, just call me ZH115. I'm in a way new. Like, I've been on here before, but just to make one comment on a blog. I love Assassin's Creed. I have all games with the exception of all hand held games and Unity. Although I do have Liberation HD. I don't really have much else to say except that I hope you accept me into you're community. I probably won't be on here much, but I'll try. I'm usually on the Nazi Zombies Plus wiki.Read more >
Which Assassin do you think best acted as the role of The Mentor? Important to note that this has NOTHING to do with character, personality or progression. Just wisdom, skil, leadership and accomplishments. I didn't add Ezio and Altair because Iknow everyone would pick the two.
Al-Mualim: He greatly strengthened the Assassin Order during a reign that lasted for at least 2 decades. He trained numerous Assassins, one of them being his successor and arguably best student. Al-Mualim set up admirable restrictions on the methods of killing such as saying no to poison, calling it a coward's tool. He pushed back various attacks by Templars, Saracens and Crusaders and kept Masyaf a safe haven for any and all citizens who wished to live in peace. All…Read more >

DESIRES: A story of conspiracy and intrigue (and a rapidly-thickening plot hehe). Vic London lends itself perfectly to a story like this.
A story where we care about the characters. I think the best way to do this is just too have a consistent few characters that we're with for the whole game. One of my gripes with Unity is that there are too many characters, and as a result they're underutilised (I'm looking at you Napoleon/Marqui de Sade). When you have so many characters, you end up spending less time with them, which makes them less memorable. I feel this game would have been great if you spent the whole story with Napoleon, Marqui de Sade, Elise and Mirabeau. You'd care more about the characters if you spent the whole story with these …Read more >
As the title says, a bunch of things I want to see in ACV, I'll update it if I spot some good ones in the comments.
I want a formidable and interesting antagonist. My favourite AC antagonists are Haytham and Cesare. I want Victory to top that.
The first ìmages are promising but I really want to see an Assassins creed game that primarily plays in a night like time. Sure, give the option, but it seems so much more immersive.
Give us a complex main character, not a lovable fool like Arno (He wasn't bad but not very complex either), but most of all, give us complex side characters. Unity's had some boring side guys.
Either wrap up MD or give it an actual form, the way it was in Unity was just terrible.
Keep the sense of mystery in the story and gam…

This week a leak from Kotaku revealed a new Assassin's Creed title set for 2015. Titled 'Assassin's Creed: Victory', it reportedly takes place in Victorian era London in the 19th century. Kotaku said an E3-esque game demo showed the assassination of a Templar, Roderick Bulmer.
This leak is unusually early, with Unity and Rogue having been out for not even a month, suggesting it has been in development for some time now.
What are your thoughts on the setting? This is the farthest close to the present thus far, which could mean some big changes in weaponry and crowd life.Read more >
The setting for next year's Assassin's Creed has already been revealed in the form of leaked images. In late 2015, we will be exploring London during the reign of Queen Victoria. The game, codenamed Victory, will be the first game helmed by Ubisoft's Quebec studio, as opposed to the Montreal studio.
The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next year. There will be no release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next year, indicating that Assassin's Creed will fully move towards current gen consoles only.Read more >
I have seen a recent video on youtube asking who the initiate in Assassins creed Unity is. I believe I know. In assassins creed rogue in the first time out of the animus you find a tablet (communicator). If you look at it it has a letter from Melany Lemay or your boss that is to a guy I do believe is named Robert. It says how he will be going into ARNO DORIANS memories. Sound familiar? Yes Arno is the main protagonist in AC Unity. It also says that it is top secret and Robert will be staying in the animus for long periods of time. In unity you become an initiate and work for the assassins. I believe this Robert guy is the initiate. I mean he works for Abstergo and they tell him to look up on this Arno for no particular reason. In unity they…Read more >
Friday night, I bought Rogue a week ago. I didn't play it when i got it because i needed to get surgery on a monday and during my recovery i would do something to get my mind of my surgery. I had to much excitment from the game on my desk and i couldn't hold it anymore. I spent the whole friday night playing and i felt like i was going to fast, so i took my time, but by sunday i finished it. it was a short game, only 6 sequences. although it was an amazing game, i love AC games that add Precursor information.Read more >
I saw another post on this, but many people seemed to jump to conclusions. I will ask...
Is a real-life version of the Animus possible, more or less complex than the in-game version. Give reasoning for your opinion. "It won't work." is an opinion, but it doesn't back up your opinion and doesn't show what you really think about the possibility.
A real-life version of the Animus could be possible. Most of the brain is simply used for storage and it is possible that if a brain is preserved after death that it could be accessed in order to (in code or otherwise) show what exactly was recorded in the brain, whether if it was audio, video, feeling or otherwise. I do not think it would be as simple as reading DNA from anywhere, but perhaps implante…

I don't make blogs at all, but I felt like I had to make one for this matter.
First of all, my opinion on the overall game is that it's beautiful and stunning, and the plot is good as well. I play on the PC, and I have encountered a bug only 2 times, even though I play every day since the release. What troubles me is what other people think about it. I understand when it comes to bugs. I didn't encounter any, but if someone has, the game would become irritating to that person. What I am concerned about is the story, and Arno himself.
Many people say Arno is a one-dimensional character. He is, in the fact that his only drive is to be with Elise and protect her. Throughout the game it seems as if he is avenging his step-father, but near the en…Read more >

Just remember that the wiki has double the usual workload this year, and we'll need all the help we can get.
Anyway, here's your next issue of polls.
What are your thoughts concerning all the inter-connectivity that Assassin's Creed is using? For example, having to use apps and online play to fully complete the game?
Well, that's all from me this month. See you in December!
PS: Yes, this poll was specifically intended to give me an idea about the two games. If you have any tips for me, feel free to pass them on.Read more >

The story is on par with Black Flag, not amazing, but good enough. What really shines here though is the improvements Ubisfot has made. The combat is now an actual challenge and you can't just jump in a place with 100 guards hoping to survive, the feeling of being overpowered has been removed but that doesn't make the game worse,in fact it makes you feel more like an assassin, you're not just …Read more >

Every one has their favourite Assassin. Mine is Altair Ibn-La'Ahad. Yours could be the 11th Century Assassin from Masyaf, Altair Ibn-La'Ahad. Or is it the Florentine nobleman from the 15th Century Ezio Auditore da Firenze?. Or could it be the young Native/Europen Assassin from the 17th Century Connor Kenway?. Could it be the brave Pirate who soon joined the Assassin Order in the 16th Century Edward Kenway?. Or is it Edward's compain Adewale?. Or Aveline de Grandpre?. Or is it Arno Dorian or Nikolia?. Or are you a fan of the traitor Shay Cormac?. Discuss you're faveourite moments these Assassins have preformed. I for one respect Altair for facing his own Mentor Al Mualiem. 1) rain confirmed. i didnt know weather can change mid mission but apparently it can. at least rain and clouds that cast nice shadows on paris.
2) Rifles take the place of the melee weapon and are used as a blunt weapon. a very lethal one that can take out enemies in 1 or 2 hits sometimes.
3) In case of a blunt weapon like the rifle enemies who are down are not necessarily dead. they lie there incapacitated. you can finish them off with the HB.
4) It seems like enemies can follow you deep into buildings. not sure if this is realistic. we can see the player on the second floor of a building and when he kills attackers indoors once they die there is a "last known position" silhouette left where arno is standing. not sure if the way enemies know…Read more >

And of course we had Connor,Edward, and now almost Arno and Shay. The story has kinda been through diifferent time lines and different places around the world and there will most likely be more. Shay,as I stated in my previous post, is an assassin turned templar. But really all we know is the info they gave us. How did he become an assassin in the first place? Who is his parentage? How did he meet Haythem? How did he join the templar order? Did he need training, which would be stupid because he was already an assassin with training, before he got in to the order? Did they not trust him at first because of his assassin past or did they let him in immediatley? Many people may say that assassins creed rogue is a black flag 2. But there are some differences that make it differ from black flag. The one big one of course is that you are a templar hunting assassins. After a mission goes sour and Shay Patrick Cormac, our main character, is betrayed he goes to the templars looking for redemption and promises to hunt down all the assassins in north america. You also get an air rifle which is a rifle that shoots the same ammunition as a blow pipe in assassins creed black flag which is pretty much the same thing only the air gun can go farther. Since Shay is not a pirate his motives will be different. He probably wont spend as much time looking for money considering he has plenty of it since the templars …Read more >
It seems from AC2 onwards, we are getting more ranged weapons, weapons that require less thinking to use on our part.
I miss AC2's poison blade basically. I just did a contract where I had to kill the target without being seen, however he also has guards following him. To get to him I actually USED social stealth. I blended in with a crowd that took me right by him, gave him a dose of poison as for people to still not see and then carried on with the crowd. He died and everyone was left confused.
Now lets take that scenario and apply it to other games where ranged weapons are in the poison blade isn't:
1. Poison Darts (ACB, ACR, AC4) 2. Crossbow (ACB, ACR) 3. Bow and Arrow (AC3)
Having these ranged weapons changes the ballgame and your approac…Read more >

I personally wouldn't mind seeing Stephane Chapheau considering how he's discussed France's state with Connor, and how he wants to return someday. Perhaps the French Revolution could be that return? He doesn't necessarily need to be apart of the main story, maybe some side missions like liberating parts of France or maybe even that American Prisoner DLC?
We can see him in the streets yelling with the Citizens about injustice, tyranny, and other stuff. He could interact with Arno telling him about his battles in America with Connor and how he offered him to come but Connor was "Too Busy" or something.
By this, we can get a Connor mention, and what he's been up to since AC3.

Do you think you get voted into it, do you think you achieve the rank by achieving better skills and by how much you have done for the order, do you think members are chosen by the council itself?
With what the Assassin order stands for, you'd think it might be by a democracy, but the Assassin Brotherhood has traditionally been operated by more of a dictatorship that is passed down from Mentor to Mentor (another irony and contradiction in the Assassin's Creed) in the individual sections of the Brotherhood (with the modern day only have the single Mentor over all, and he was practically worshiped), and the way the French Brotherhood operates is new and unique to the way the Brotherhood as operated in the past.
It's very curious, and do you th…Read more >
