The setting for next year's Assassin's Creed has already been revealed in the form of leaked images. In late 2015, we will be exploring London during the reign of Queen Victoria. The game, codenamed Victory, will be the first game helmed by Ubisoft's Quebec studio, as opposed to the Montreal studio.
The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next year. There will be no release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next year, indicating that Assassin's Creed will fully move towards current gen consoles only.Read more >
After months of rumours related to Assassin's Creed: Comet, and most recently Assassin's Creed: Rogue, the game has finally been confirmed. The game stars the Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Patrick Cormac, operating around the North Atlantic during the Seven Years' War, hunting down his former Assassin brothers.
Cormac's travels take him to the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean, but also to a reimagined New York and the . His story will also be related to that of the Kenways, and Shay will also play a notable role in the story of Assassin's Creed: Unity.
The game is slated for release on 11 November 2014. Check out the world premiere trailer here.
This confirms earlier rumours that surfaced around the time we first heard of Assassin's Creed: Unity. Those rumours said the game will be set in 1758, and that familiar faces such as Adéwalé and Haytham Kenway will be seen again.Read more >
Today, Ubisoft has released two new trailers for the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Unity. The first, titled the Revolution Gameplay Trailer, showcases various gameplay aspects – most notably its new climbing mechanism, which makes climbing down landmarks such as the Notre-Dame much easier. Rather than so many people making all these separate forums and blogs, and commenting about it on completely unrelated blogs (...why?), I'll just make this blog post.
It seems that the rumours about two Assassin's Creed games being released is true. One is coming out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and is codenamed Unity, while the other will be coming out for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and is codenamed Comet.
Screenshots of an early version of Unity have leaked, showing the protagonist in 18th-century Paris. The leaks back up the statements of a NeoGaf user who claimed to have gotten information on the next game from a Ubisoft employee on a plane. According to the NeoGaf user, the protagonist's name is Arnaud (a French name of old German origin with some connection to eagles) and will be the leader of the French Brotherhood of Assassins. The game will be set in both Paris and England, likely London.
No information yet on Comet, but expect an official announcement on the games soon.

"It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin's Creed game", Guillemot added.

With only two days left until the release of Assassin's Creed III for the consoles, the Staff of this wiki would like to remind the community about a few things.
First off we'd like to talk about the leaked content. A few people have received their copies of ACIII earlier than the official launch date and most are excited to discuss what they may have watched. However, there are gamers who prefer not to be spoiled of the excitement this series has to offer. Therefore, we request users and anonymous contributors to avoid posting any potential spoilers until the official release of the games.
A few have already been warned since they decided to ignore the site notice and upload screenshots from ripped videos and adding information. For the next two days, please refrain from uploading screenshots or updating content.
Most wiki's prefer to lock out users from editing for a few days to avoid spoilers after the release date ( and to play). We however, will not be locking the wiki for user…

It always amazes me how Ubisoft is able to crank out the Assassin Creed games once a year, yet somehow manages to improve and outclass the previous installment in the series in almost every way. Each game is an improvement in terms of graphics, sound, gameplay, story, you name it. Ubisoft hasn't ceased to surprise so far, so will the upcoming Assassin's Creed III once again be a piece of art?
From what I've seen so far, it might very well be the best Assassin's Creed to date. Let's take animations as an example. Every single animation in the game has been rebuild from the ground to fit with Connor's new style of fighting. Unlike Ezio, Connor relies heavily on movement whilst fighting, making fluid animations an absolute necessity. And these animations are most certainly fluid. If a cannonball strikes close to Connor, the way he stumbles over seems almost real. This also has a positive effect on the combat system, as Connor can now slice through hordes of enemies with Tomahawk without e…Read more >

Today, a user on NeoGaf claimed to have the July issue of GameInformer which has details on the game, Assassin's Creed III: Liberation. Alongside a screenshot, it revealed that players will take up the role of Aveline, a French black female Assassin during the French and Indian War! Ubisoft gave a "no comment" when asked about the article, which basically means "we can't say anything about it but we won't say it's fake either because it isn't," and we all know how well GameInformer handles their secrets... The game will be set in New Orleans, but will also explore settings along the Gulf into Mexico, and span from 1765 to 1780.

For those who don't know, I am Blaidd, I've been a member of the Wiki for over a year, a member of the Istruttorium for little over a year, and more specifically the Rafiq of the Apprentice Program. I have agreed to post the News Blogs concerning the operations of the Wiki. Sima is doing the News Blogs regarding new Assassin's Creed info, and Teller is doing the Holiday Blogs. So let's begin.
Now while Cello was the Bureaucrat here, this Wiki ran under a strict hierarchy. Cello was of course at the top, followed by the Admins, the Istruttori, the Apprentices, and finally, the regular editors and anons. When a decision needed to be made affecting the future of this Wiki, only the Staff had a say, with Cello giving the final word, while the rest of the community was ignored. However, now that Cello is gone, we can change that system.
Our new Bureaucrats - Sima and Vatsa have abolished the old hierarchy. The new message we are trying to deliver to the community now is "equality": all users ar…

Right, so for those of you who don't know, PAX East took place from the 6th of April to the 8th, during which, a new gameplay demo for Assassin's Creed III was shown. While the demo has not yet hit the internet, screenshots and information about the demo have been released to the general public.
Here's the demo from a story point of view:
It takes place in 1775 during the battle of Bunker Hill, with Connor's mission to assassinate a British official named John Pitcairn, who is also a Templar. As the battle commences, Connor moves throughout the American ranks trying to reach Pitcairn who was at the peak of a hill. Dodging cannon-fire, Connor decides to take a different, more indirect path towards Pitcairn, through the trees. Continuing on his way, Connor comes across a group of Redcoats. Proceeding to slaughter them, Connor continued on towards the British camp. Once there, Connor located Pitcairn and made his way towards him, before using his tomahawk to kill him.

I have been thinking about this for some time. Ever since the release of ACR, my interest in the series has progressively deteriorated -- everything I loved about AC, the stuff that captured me in AC1... is gone. And in ACR they managed to take away the fun and complexity AC2 and ACBH brought to the series by doing a game simply for the spite of it, with a money focused released every year, like Call of Duty does. Ubisoft disheartened me, but worse, I realized my interest in the wiki itself was fading. It´s been 2 weeks since the thought first crossed my mind, and I feel it´s time I finally follow my path again.

Okay, so I realize that news sites are already leaking info related to the leaked GameInformer article on Assassin's Creed III, so I suppose I will do the same here, even though it may not be quite right... Though it's either us or them.
Here is a basic rundown of the new features in the upcoming GameInformer article, to be released next week:
- The new Assassin is the son of a Native American woman and a British soldier. His calls himself Connor, but his birth name is Ratohnhaké:ton. Born into the Mohawk, he eventually crosses paths with the Assassins in his search for righteousness.
- Connor is quiet and stoic, letting actions speak for words rather than conversing with others. In contrast to Ezio, Connor is a freedom fighter who acts in the name of justice rather than on personal revenge.
- The game is set between 1753 and 1783, meaning we will be playing a good chunk of Connor's life, about the timeframe of Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood combined.
- Settings will include Bost…
March 1st of 2012. 9 months to the fullfilment of the Mayan Prophecy, for the launch of Abstergo's Eye satellite and for the delivery of the third and final chapter of Assassin's Creed following Desmond's destiny.
And to start the hype, Ubisoft has unveiled today via GameInformer the boxart AND setting of the new game.
The new game will follow another white-beaked-hooded ancestor on one of the most century-defining wars ever -- the American Revolution.
We have no more details at this time but expect more soon -- especially if the game has been in development for as long as they say, we shall have info promptly avaiable to build up hype. And maybe this time they will deliver what is promised -- a true assassin experience.
I must say, altough the setting is kinda know and taken, with Mel Gibson's The Patriot and similar stuff covering it, the image got me excited. I'm curious to see the AC take on this. Let's hope it joins the best of AC, ACII and ACB -- namely, atmosphere/wisdom, great story,…

The first DLC for Assassin's Creed: Revelations has been announced. Named "The Lost Archive", the downloadable content will feature gameplay sequences similar to Desmond's Journey ones, but focused on Subject 16's life. Unfortunaly, Ubisoft's trend of not including (or at least delaying) PC players also makes a appearance this time. Altough I expect it to be avaiable for PC at a later date, I still find the lack of explanation for excluding the PC version disgusting, without even a mention to the why.

And here we are! After the utterly dissapointment that was ACR and Ubisoft in 2011 (or not, depend if you liked ACR or not), here we are, 2012!

This year, those questions have been answered, with answers no one has expected.

These are the words spoken by the venerable Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Coming a long way from being a Florentine noble to becoming perhaps the most influential member of the Assassin order, Ezio now seeks to learn about the wisdom left behind by the legendary Mentor, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.
Assassin's Creed: Revelations is the fourth major installment of the award-winning Assassin's Creed franchise, focusing on the three major protagonists this time around: Altaïr, Ezio, and the modern day descendant Desmond Miles. This game will conclude the series' time in the era of the Renaissance, and the stories of two out of the three major protagonists.

The series has come a long way since it entered the public eye, way back in 2007. The story followed Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, the white-clad Syrian Assassin as he fought to regain his title and rid the Holy Land of its Templar plague. Fastforward two years, and we were introduced to the charming, confident and slightly flamboyant Italian ladies-man, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, whose quest for vengeance against the men who killed his family helped save all of Italy from a brutal Templar rule.

This post will be a shorter dose of awesomeness than usual, sorry, folks =P
I just got an email from one of my Ubisoft contacts linking me to a new trailer for Assassin's Creed: Embers. I'm not spoiling anything -- it's pretty short, just watch it:
Along in the email, came this little explanation/fact sheet:
Now living in a cozy Tuscan villa with his wife and their two children, Ezio Auditore spends his time enjoying the company of family, old friends and cultivating his vineyards. The life of this former Assassin Mentor will not stay quiet for long. One day a mysterious Assassin shows up at Ezio’s door quite unexpectedly, begging for Ezio’s aid. Will this old assassin’s fire die out before he can save the ones he love, or will it burn brightly one last time?

Today we go over Assassin's Creed Revelations revelations! XD
First we have this awesome list of news gathered by User:Stormbeast on a blog of his, one which I am now reposting here for everyone to see ^^ I believe he will keep updating it, and when he does, I'll relay the info to all as always =]

- If you get close enough to a person, e.g. following Yusuf at the beginning of the game, Ezio will go into autopilot and walk with him.
- All memories concerning the Keys in Constantinople will be accessed through Sofia. The Altair memories within the Keys will be relatively short, but engaging. You do not have to activate the Key as soon as you touch it, leading to possible replay-ability of Altair memories as well.
- There is an achievement/trophy for reaching the top of Hagia Sophia in un…

Today I bring you a very little post but with interesting news.
Yesterday on IGN a video went up of a interview made with Darby McDevitt, lead writer of Assassin's Creed: Revelations. In it, he explains the ancestry of Desmond and adress the community-stirring decision of making Altaïr and Ezio not related, unlike the old creative director Patrice Désilets had stated on the interviews near the launch of Assassin's Creed II.
Watch the video here!
Personally, I tought making them not related was a head up the ass move, specially since they haven't given us a reason, but now after his explanation, I can bare with it -- I still don't like it, but their theory makes sense XD
And you, people - what you think of it? Sound off on the comments below me! (heh)
