Assassin's Creed: Pirates is a spin-off game for smartphones and tablets developed by Ubisoft Paris. The game follows the pirate Alonzo Batilla, who holds the key to finding the treasure of the French pirate La Buse. The game focuses on naval combat and is set in the early 18th century, similar to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

HistoryEdit

The game was announced on 10 September 2013. A debut trailer was released, showing the story and naval combat.[1] The game was released on 5 December and became free to play on 4 September 2014.

UpdatesEdit

Since its release, the game has had several updates which added new gameplay options to the game.

  • On 4 September 2014, an update called "Cold Blood" was released, incorporating Arctic areas inspired by Assassin's Creed: Rogue.
  • On 18 december later that year, another update called the "The Lost Temples" update was released. This update gave players the opportunity to leave their ships and explore hidden Mayan Temples on land.[2]
  • On 11 June 2015, a final update called "Quest for Eden" was released alongside with a trailer, concluding Alonzo's story and quest for La Buse’s treasure.[3]
