Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines is a game that will be released exclusively for the PSP. It was announced at the E3 convention. In 'Bloodlines' the player plays again, as Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad. The gameplay will be much like the first game, but little about the story or any characters has been revealed as of yet. The events of this game will take place right after the first game. It will explain the missing link between Altaïr, Ezio and Desmond. In Assassin's Creed II Ezio will find the codex of Altaïr to become an Assassin. This game will explain where it comes from. It will not only reveal more about Altaïr, but also more about Ezio, how he is born and other details.

[edit] Story

Screenshoot from Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines

Altaïr discovers the Templars are heading for Cyprus with his father in which they have kidnapped and hunts down the ascending Templars. As the Templars withdraw from the Holy Land after Altaïr kills Robert de Sable, the Assassin follows them to the island of Cyprus. Finding new allies and enemies, Altaïr helps the local resistance against the Templar occupation and strikes down the ascendant Templar commanders. Along the story Altaïr learns more about himself and the Apple of Eden, as well as the Templar's ways and means of power and peace.

[edit] Enemies

  • Templar Guards - Comes in many variations (white guard, red guard, multi-colored guard, slim and brutish prison guards with naked torso), the basic enemies Altair faces throughout the game.
  • Templar Archers - Like in original game, they patrol rooftops, and could switch to close combat if needed.
  • Templar Elite Guards - Towering guards with shields. Seen leading other guards, and protecting various Templar locations like prisons, castles, and Templar Archive.
  • Templar Knights - Well-trained warriors, and members of Templar Order. They wear helmets which clearly distinguish them from other enemies.
  • Pirates - They roam the dock areas of Limassol and Kyrenia. Knowing about the bounty on Altair and Maria, they will attack, sometimes in groups, in order to get it.
  • Fanatics - These men are the followers of Moloch and are known for their aggressive nature and strong, almost insane faith.
  • Duelists - These men are bandits employed by the Templars as soldiers. They uses dual weapons: a sword and a knife. Could be seen extorting, threatening and torturing the populace. Act mostly under the orders of Shalim.
  • (also at one point, Maria)

[edit] PS3/PSP Connection

Additionally, as players unlock Health and Weapons upgrades in Assassin’s Creed 2 PS3, the same upgrade will be unlocked in Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines. Also, the weapons of each person you killed in Bloodlines can be found in the Villa in AC2.
