Alonzo searched for The Monk in a place where they were to meet.

The Monk appeared before Alonzo.
- Monk: An errand... for gold and glory. How fitting for a pirate!

- Monk: The darkest hour precedes the dawn, pirate.
The Monk departed without saying another word.
- Alonzo: I should probably take his gold and not even bother figuring this out...
Alonzo retrieved the goods protected by a ship and returned to the place were the Monk was supposed to meet him.
- Alonzo: Your parcels are delivered, monk? ... Maybe I should open them?
The Monk appeared before Alonzo.
- Monk: No need, pirate. Reward me with your trust, and you will prosper.
- Alonzo: Men do not prosper on lies... Even pirates.
- Monk: Lies never cross my lips. The Benedictines guided my wayward soul toward the light of truth.
The Monk departed with his parcels.
